I see tons of "new gametype" ideas on here, but none of them fit into the lore of the game, which is why I think CCP pays no heed to them.
Introduction
I have 4 years of experience in EvE and I have been playing Dust since open beta so trust me that I have a small idea of what I'm talking about.
Now that you will at least read a little, let me give a little introductory statement. I like watching pro gaming. I like watching The Global Starcraft and League of Legends tournaments, and it made me think while watching the other day, that, I like seeing people duke it out strategically. People like to watch other people fight. FOR SOME REASON, this is basic human entertainment. The Colosseum in Rome is a good example of this. Wrestling, etc. in today's sense. I think this is human nature, and there would be a want for a gladiator/fighting sports fix in the future.
Imagine then, you're the best mercenary in the galaxy. The most skillful, the most strategic and the most clever. You want money. I don't know about you, but being an immortal god, I would say... Hey, Dust/EvE buddy... I bet you 3,000,000 isk I can kill _____ 1v1. The bet is made, and I get the money, because I'm pro.
Suggestion I'm not saying that there should ever be 1v1s in this game (stupid as hell idea, scout vs tanker, hell no), I'm saying that I would, as an EvE bro, bet my hard earned money over who would win a CTF/King of the Hill/squad duel game type.
The key in this, is that these battles would be observable for a fee that would go directly to the wallets of the Dusties fighting it. This would get divided equally amongst them. EvE/Dust players would be able to bet on some of these battles on who would win, on top of paying admission to watch them. People who host the battles would gain the profits from this viewership as well as a small percentage from the bets. If this cannot be implemented anytime soon, then this part of the suggestion should be ignored.
HIGH SEC
The biggest attraction of HIGH SEC battles would be its cheap cost in order to watch.
These battles could be simulated in High Sec as big name corporations paying 100k isk to whoever wins (betting 50k on each side; winner taking the 100k). I would envision this as the winning team splitting the 100k ISK, weighted towards the best players PLUS salvage money and admission money. The losing teams would only be getting minimal salvage money and the admissions money. This would payout less than half of what Public Battles would give if you lost, with it giving as much as a Public battle if you win. This would create a larger focus on winning, with this potentially being an isk sink. This identifies these game types as supplementary game types and make players naturally prefer Public Battles depending on their skill level. High sec battles of these kind would be 16v16 with a focus on winning. Simpler game types allowed in High Sec e.g. CTF/King of the Hill. is allowed in every security status, with restrictions on player count being on a by-security-status basis.
- These would be spawned constantly.
- These would have minimal (100k isk) "winning rewards".
- Would be ideally played by newer players and older players alike.
- Good for experiencing the game types you would face in lower security space/null.
- EvE players can't bet on these, seeing as the victors would be, in general, random.
- Minimal fee to watch 5,000 ISK (1,000 isk for Dust players), 90% goes to Dusties partaking in it
- Is an ISK sink.
LOW SEC
The biggest attraction of LOW SEC would be its variety of battle.
Low Sec battles could be on either player owned districts, or "rented" empire/factional districts. These would be the "variety" battle districts. They would allow every game type except "Arena" with 12/16/24/32 on each side. I would imagine these being a mess and sporadically being open, forcing you to go on uneven footing and have your squad adjust, or adjust solo, to each changing battle and accept different tactics.
- These would be spawned by NPC space less often
- They would be ~50% player made
- Moderate fee to watch for NPC factions; 25-50k (5-15k for Dust players) to watch, 70% given to Dusties; on player owned districts, 30% minimum required to be given to Dust players taking part in the battle (Concord holds SOME jurisdiction over Low Sec and deem it cruel and unreasonable to not give at least 30% to players fighting in these battles)
- Dust players with the districts determine the amount for admission for battles that they host
- These could be hosted for TWO OTHER FACTIONS to duke it out; reap profits of battles on your turf that you don't take part in - ZERO risk profit.
- Dust corps here could challenge other corps to 12v12/etc. here
- ~500k ISK winning rewards in NPC battles, minimum 100k for player made for the winner
- EvE players would be able to bet over this, 5% of bets go to Dust host/2.5% to NPC host
- Is POTENTIALLY an ISK fountain, based on skill. ISK SINK for bad players (since this is how the Dusties get money).

NULL SEC
The biggest attraction of NULL SEC would be its Arena battles.
Null Sec would have absolute freedom and would be allowed to have any game type, any fee for watching, any amount of players between the pre-selected types (12v12/16v16/24v24/32v32), any amount of betting profit gained (5% betting profit of 1m in bets = 50,000 isk to Dust host).
Players are able to make 6v6 "Arena" battles that allows two squads to duke it out in an ambush. The hosts of the game could have this battle take place anywhere on the map, but it would be displayed beforehand to all EvE/Dust viewers and players who accept the contract. There would be no funny business, just a plain 6v6 either in a complex, in the open, or on a full huge map. Only the fully huge map would allow for vehicles.
The idea of this game type is that l33t players could mash the massive scrub alliances in Null for huge cash bonuses if the Null sec alliances feel cocky. Otherwise, Null sec can be abused (100% bet tax, 500m admission, etc etc.) and thus you will make a net loss of money seeing as setting these up would cost ISK.
- All variables are player controlled
- Arena type exclusive here - vehicles only allowed on full map
- POTENTIAL ISK fountain for good players
- All perks of High/Low
- Can host battles here just like in Low
- No minimum fee or tax for anything - completely lawless
- 100% player controlled
- Can create "duel" contracts that can ONLY be accepted by a specific corporation/alliance. These would be for showing your dominance and trash talking people who are scrubs but talk sh*t. We all need a "1v1 me fgt" feature sometimes.

ISK SUMMARY
THE IDEA IS TO LET PLAYERS PAY IS FOR FUN. This lets this NOT replace public contracts, since this seems so very important to CCP.
These contracts are ISK sinks unless you are the top 20% of players. These would be the "I am the 1%." gametypes. If you are a GOD every EvE player who watches will bet on you and you will make money by pulling in viewers and winning victory money.
Notes:
- Player owned districts will have to naturally (like the markets in EvE) find a price that they are comfortable with in many regards. Paying too high of admission will make you lose money
- Creating these battles cost 100k isk. If you get no players and no viewers, you will make no money.
- You can make money with no viewers whatsoever in Null by making exclusively Arena contracts.
- It is more difficult to make money off of these in Low Sec
- These can replace tournaments
- These may hardly be player made, or always be player made and are expected to fluctuate constantly and die. That is what NPC ones are for.
- These add value to districts.
- These allow GOOD, SMALL corporations to make tons of money by annihilating bad corporations.
