So this started out as sort of a joke, but after given some thought I think it'd actually work and be really cool. Basically the gist of the idea is if you have two guys, each with a repair tool, and they link onto each other, then everyone who passes through the stream will take some considerable amount of damage (or just die). And it wouldn't be OP because it'd require teamwork and you wouldn't have your gun open or anything. |

Obviously this should be done, it would be quite entertaining to see people fall prey to this +1 |

LOL, I'll give you a +1 but I think you two are just a little too excited about this if you know what I mean... |

But dead serious, this really could work for fun, meaningful, and unique gameplay. |

Have it do 200 damage per second and do 25-50% to vehicles and then have assault repair tools that do 200% damage to vehicles so you can kill LAVs that drive at you like morons and then get stuck for a few seconds on something. |

lol John.
Aero, you're spot-on with "fun, meaningful, and unique". Imagine being on the enemy team, seeing two soldiers walking towards you like this. If anything, it could provide a very interesting distraction. Plus, this would be the very definition of bravery in battle. lol |

Expanding this concept (which is hilarious but actually cool enough to consider), imagine if two dropships remote repair each other and form a giant version of this beam, and essentially become a guillotine, landing on either side of those pesky HAVs and slicing them in half. |

Exactly. This may sound like a troll idea, but I really think it could work and be awesome. What you expanded on sound like a legit strategy that just so happens to be strange and unusual in a typical sense but fully functional and awesome. |

So, I was about 15m from you two when you started your little (victory?)dance, and as you spun away out of the city, I thought oh so briefly about joining you with my repper, but then... As I watched you go farther out onto the open plain... I just got this flash mental image of two guys in jumpsuits spinning around holding ribbons in a field of wildflowers, and suddenly... I was afraid. Very afraid.
I do have to say though that the title of the thread is solid, and the dropship tether-beam of clothesline laz0r death sounds freaking awesome. |

Don't know how I missed this. Should have joined us. lol
Would have been horrible though if we got jumped by the enemy while doing that. lol |
