So as we all know, DUST 514 activity has been slowly decreasing. I personally believe it's because the gameplay at the moment is very repetitive! Each game you play more or less has the same tactics "Right it's ring map get, links on the rings and the towers etc" . Domination was fun for the first couple of weeks but then just became uplink spam & skirmish and ambush has been here for 9+ months!
Having completely new game modes would most definitely, change the way in which people. A nice example of a new game would be like the battlefield 3 rush game mode were one team of mercenaries would try to hack & destroy enemy null canons, whilst the other team tried to prevent them from hacking and destroying their null canons. If the attacking team successfully hacks & destroyes a null canon then a second null canon would become active for the two teams to attack/defend. The null canons would be placed where objectives would usually be in skirmish.
Another good example would be starhawks capture the flag. This would involve two bases either side of the map. The teams would then progress through the map in order to capture the enemy's flag, once capture the teams would try to bring their enemies flag back to their own base without being killed in the process the first team to sucessfully capture the enemy's flag 5 times would be the winner!
There just two suggestions that came to my head, if anyone else as got any comments/ suggestions please feel free to reply to this thread to try & help make DUST 514 a playable game as it once was!!! |

That sounds epic, never played MAG myself but I know loads of guys transferred to DUST from MAG so they would really enjoy this,just hope ccp can start developing this stuff and make the game more enjoyable! Really want dust to do well!! |
