I've been using the heavy suit in conjunction with the laser rifle for a while now. I've been (somewhat) patiently waiting for a heavy laser, too. I've been saving up skill points for a few weeks now, and am wondering if I should dump them all into my laser rifle skill, or start branching toward the heavy weapons line, in anticipation of the weapons that might be released by the end of the year.
It's a hard decision, seeing as how valuable SP's are. If by some crazy chance, CCP decides to let the players have a respec after releasing the content, then I guess it wouldn't matter. I'm just curios on what some fellow players think. |

if you are a heavy, you should at least have some experience with heavy type weapons LOL.
Your playstyle is up to you in the end. Whatever works for you. |

Well I've said this a few times now but I'll just repeat :). A month ago or so Wolfman said on IRC that new heavy weapons if we are lucky should be coming out within 4 months or so. This was before the vehicle rebalance push back though so it might be up to 6 months before we see them. Then again we might even get them by January.
Personally I wouldn't save up SP for anything except maybe vehicles if you're serious about them. Just enjoy the game if you can and harvest sp when you need it. |

Personally I'd always keep 500,000 SP spare... and expend what you use above that limit in case they add new stuff..
But it is unlikely they will add the heavy laser weapon, the only screenshots I've seen for any graphic/art in the last 2 weeks for new equipment coming is the rail rifle, rail pistol, combat rifle and magsec smg. |
