It seems like his plan is to increase the action of the game and make it more appealing. Which i like, theres nothing better then a game with lots of action. Helps it not to become boring.
Gaudechon also has some plans for the microtransactions. Saying that "You don't stop the movie to get a dolla from someone" "It's not a good experience"
I've never had a problem with the microtransactions personally but i can hope he improves them somehow. |

Yeah, new people always come in with big plans.
I like the apparent push for market and NPE issues (see Polygon link from Escapist). One will grow the player base and the other will add a new element to the game entirely. |

Why didnt he work in EA? Does that make him exempt even tho he was an EA EMPLOYEE working for EA and got paid by EA for doing his job which was making games for EA which happen to be money grabbing/broken/bug riddled and just all around terrible

MOAR action ussually means faster TTK, look at PS2 their TTK is rediculously short, witch ussually means less action and more time staring at the spawn screen...so yeah ...

Also, I hate EA Games with a passion. How dare you lump into the same filthy group as that company. What does EA stand for again? Oh yeah, Electronic Assholes. By the way, if you missed the point of my previous post, let me help you.
This guy said that EA isn't that bad. My reply was meant to be a scoff at the idea. EA has been bad to the core for a long time already. What's that good old EA Sports saying? "Get the **** out of my building!" That pretty much sums up EA's mentality. Then there is the fact that they willfully lied to their paying customers when they said that one of their latest versions of Sim City could not function without a constant internet connection to their server. They were caught laying when A) a hacker proved them wrong and B) an inside man leaked the information about the lie that EA was perpetuating.
Keep in mind that EA is also the company that once laughed at Eve Online back in 2003 saying that the game would never become famous and that EA's Earth & Beyond game will stomp Eve Online like a Protobear on a newbie in a pub match. A few years later, Earth & Beyond got cancelled and Eve Online took in all the alienated subscribers. EA never forgave CCP for that butt hurt that was inflicted upon them. LOL |

As for CCP Rouge's ties with EA, I don't expect any bad behaviors wandering over at all considering his previous place of work and the current one. CCP Pokethulhu (who's now just as crazy as rest of CCP when it comes to where he wants to see eve franchise in the future) has probably been most helpful in vetting and picking up the best types from former EA employees. CCP is still privately owned and the guys who do own it are not the sort to crank every since ounce of copper and nickel they can out of customers. CCP Rouge is beginning to love the universe and the tone it sets. He was very enthusiastic to work with the CPM which surprised me a bit considering how strange of a concept the CPM is verses most any other game's community sourced drivers. |

Ah yes. A good old fashioned New Eden corp gank. EA sends in their own people into CCP to try to take it from within only to realize that the people they sent in were actual informants for CCP. LOL
Next thing you know, the President of EA will log in, look at his corp wallet and hangar and see nothing... literally nothing and starts wondering which director AMOXed him while all his districts and territories have been taken and anything that hasn't been bolted to the ground have been taken. Then EA will find a note on their desk showing a bumblebee wearing a helmet and smoking a cigar. |

he went from EA to CCP that could be a good thing or a bad thing only time will tell. I mean it really relies on his mentality and how it changes. As long as they continue in the direction they are headed since the change of EP and more intense doesn't mean twitch shooter, dust is headed the right way. I mean with FW they are talking of removing what is arguably the most PW portion of this game, that said they need to be careful with the standings implants, standings have as great an impact as isk to a game like this and note they haven't added any isk bonus implants yet.
we will see.
oh and **** EA I hope that company collapses, they are bad for games and for gamers, which is sad considering how much good they could do with what they have at their disposal. |

The Scrambler Rifle and the Rail Rifle would do the snipers job if they add SMALLER maps. They need slightly larger maps and double the player count to give it a proper MMO feeling. 16 v 16 is slightly better than BF's 12 v 12, and was already accomplished online in 2005 with SOCOM 3, with vehicles. DICE went cheap with it and gave us huge maps but a pathetically low player count. I much prefer MAG having 850m or so maps from one side to the other on domination and 128 people per team. Made it feel more like a war. Plus communication was easy and intelligent. |

Monoclegate.
How is a vanty item that had zero impact on the game cash grabbing players could choose to buy it ir not. What people where pissed of about was the lack of focus on ships that went pew pew |

This, pretty much. EA being the devil/Satan/the root of all evil (err, half, right there's activision) can coexist alongside this one guy being cool. |

Sounds like hyperbole.
It's an FPS, stuff is already dying and exploding. The statement is meaningless. He wants to make it so eve players carry us to attack a planet, thats pretty hardcore This isn't a new idea, though. And let's get serious here for a moment, he probably doesn't know a thing about the game and somebody else told him to say that. Well it wasn't him who said it but it's him who is choosing which devs to greenlight. Those devs made up the ideas and he is choosing which ideas should go in. At least he's mkaing choices tha the last guy, the Ex-DICE person who was fired from DICE and then left CCP without a 2 week notice or anything. Because DICE didn't nerf vehicles because infantry found it too hard to deal with them.
We're talking about creating a game where you can move over persistent maps with PvE and PvP crafted together, eve ships carrying us to battle, boarding and invading real titans an eve player is piloting. Player run markets, 0.0 warfare, ect...
And you point out that the guy might have balanced something in a way you didn't like. How piety. balance will change forever. In 2 years tanks will be op, in 4 years tanks will will suck, just deal with it. |

Time to save that AUR for buying p2w bullets The Executive Producer for CCP doesn't work for EA anymore. Get that through your head. Doesn't mean he doesn't want to sabotage Dust.

I will say it again CCP. If you let the EA buffoon mess with the game and turn it into something EA like I will immediately quit and take my money elsewhere. This will immediately follow by CCP being on my blacklist with notable companies such as Hammerpoint Interactive(The War Z), Interwave (Dark Matter), and Electronic Assholes for being the douche bags of the gaming industry. |

YOU WANT A GREAT LOBBY SHOOTER WITH MMO/RPG ELEMENTS? Then you don't ask those that never touched a fps how to make one.
Dust runs on a lobby FPS engine. doesn't matter whats on the outside. It's a.. wait for it... FPS.
You wouldn't ask a pure carnivore as to where one would find a good veggie dish, so why the hell would you ask someone who never touched a FPS game how a to make a GREAT FPS GAME.
Runs on borderline Bloody idiotic.
EA deserves every negative comment made at it. But sure as hell DUST514 "potential" to be the GREATEST FPS is out right offensive to every single FPS and player that has come before it, and now. |

I agree with aisha that BF14 on the ps3 DOES LOOK LIKE ****. But I can also say that BF3 makes dust 514 look like a very tiny game in every aspect.
You can't compare ps4 games to dust, cause that won't be fair. But too many FPS games already have put dust to shame. BF3 being one of em.
*BFBC 2 being another*
Killzone 2 being another. I could go on... But yeah BF4 wasn't meant for this gen. |
