I want to know why is it that if I charge a shot, fire it, then hold the trigger down to charge another it explodes in my face?

It's called balance. Without the harsh overheat, the scrambler rifle would be OP.
Although maxing out your scrambler rifle skill and wearing an Amarr assault suit helps prevent overheating. |

Really? because you should be able to manage the heat build up to where you can fire one ever couple of seconds. |

But does 2 charges in a row cause a blow up? If that's the case, the thing should eventually blow in my face if I hold the first charge to long |

We can assume that while the heat does build up while charging the gun, there is an even greater and dangerous heat generation upon discharge. |

Uh, nope. If Im facing a heavy, I charge, I shoot. I recharge, and when I shoot again I get a blow up, and my shot goes through him like he's a ghost. This isn't fluke occurrence either, its been this way since I started SCR-ing |

Really? Its much better all around than the TAC was when people were crying about that being OP FYI when not charging your heat build up is measured by seconds and not shots fired so work on your trigger finger and your damage output will go through the roof than if you rely on charge shots |

Just wondering because I do, I normally have the capacity to roll back to back charge shots every couple of seconds. |

Quite the contrary, sir. I am VERY proficient with the SCR, and can do better with it than any other weapon in the game. The only thing I have a problem with, is the lack of sense as to why back-to-back Charge Shots can't be fired.
I assume it is a glitch, because it will show the laser coming out of my barrel, but the shot simply does not register; feedback does on me though. |

Here's an idea. Stop doing that.
Seriously, you have to give the gun time to cool down, and if you're not dropping them after 1 charge and a couple of normal shots then you're doing something wrong. Unless it's a heavy or a massively tanked medium. Hell, the thing even cools down while you have a shot waiting to be fired. |

2 charged shots will kill any dropsuit, that is why. You can get the most dps out of it by going 1 charge shot, follow up volley, switch to and use your sidearm then switch back after the clip is gone. Really the charge shot/volley should be more than enogh unless you're against a group. |

Swapping weapons is really unresponsive on a mouse, so i ussually just rapid fire heavies to death in cqc and with their gigantic hitboxes they pretty much take each shot, resulting in a dead heavy really fast, brick armor tanked Gal Logies are allot harder then a heavy.
Charged shots are mostly for the shotgun guy behind me or the very vey long range sniper guy and medium to long i hardly use charged shots anymore, most suits drop within 4-7 shots anyways so its not that uncommon to drop 3-4 suits before you have to worry about overheat. |

Heavies and Tanked Gallentes will not go down in one volley. They take 3 charged shots. Which for me is very difficult because I have to wait for the cool down between each shot. |

Get another one, it makes a world of diffrence when gunning down a heavy but you should limit yourself to max 1 charged and then pelt him to death with rapid fire. |

Uh, one volley is about 1000HP (if every shot lands... which usually a it will on a Heavy Frame) still not enough to kill a heavy without having to switch to a sidearm. I find it easier to just duck in and out of cover and score Charged Shots, especially if I'm to the 700-800 Armor layer, or facing a Brick Gallente |

I take it you don't ADS in those situations then, but you should get that second complex damage mod and try heavies out before posting again, that second mod really makes a whole lot of diffrence |
