Then i wasted much of my sp on skills i didn't really need. Then iI was prevented from grinding out my sp needed to get the setup i desired by a cap. I know one can wonder where i get the time. answer currently injured nothing better to do. Until now since i realize i only get 200-1000 sp per battle & most skills being 300000 - 1000000 sp i will simply refuse top play & wait for bonuses to kick back in or find another fps. I know i will be flamed I'm just saying what many other broke players are thinking in this economy. Which being that i will not not play another match for a week plus that means all you paid gamers have one less under geared sheep to shoot at cheers ;) Oh & for the record some of us players whom can't use a mic therefor never allowed join a big corp or team squad well here's a clue why some never speak. Some People Are Born MUTE! but we still enjoy playing & can silently work as a team to achieve common goals.
Hi OmegaKelevra, welcome to Dust. It sounds like you enjoy the universe despite the SP grinding involved to reach the highest level of equipment available. I continue to play even when SP capped as I play this for fun and the challenge being in an online FPS games with allot of competitive gamers.
Stay and give Dust a chance, having high level equipment is not needed to do well in regular pub matches. Try to spend the time get to know the maps, skill into a few different roles as it in my opinion gets more fun being able to change play style depending on ones mood and the match. Personally I often run in dropsuits I only heave level 1 in with weapons like the laser rifle also only skilled into level 1.
I recommend try out most of the weapons, all are useable, no SP is wasted unless you spend them in corp skills with no intention of creating your own corp. I have level 5 plasma canon and level 3 proficiency and rarely use this weapon now.
I have a mic but it is rarely connected, you can easily squad up without a mic and lots of corps accept players without a mic, my own one person corp would be honored to have you as a member, tax rate 0 :)
I was lucky and discovered Dust back in January as it went out of Beta, starting at 0 SP like everyone else, I have tried alt one time and it definitely was more challenging but not impossible knowing the maps and weapons.
