BPOs are getting removed from the market. Hell, CCP already has plans to remove them from the merc packs as well. Only a few players will have the privilege of having them.
But anyways... ahem... NO.
Just... NO.
Everyone, including me, spent money on these BPOs under the impression that these BPOs are intended to help us save ISK when going into battle, not get charged ISK. If anything, your idea will cause more players to leave Dust and then the game will die officially. Therefore, your stupid idea is stupid. |

Just because you have a BPO, it doesn't meant you have the materials to supply it to yourself. I think that nothing in DUST should be free beyond the 4 starter fits. I say remove all BPOS from DUST 514. . . period/ How are they free when they cost real money? Because they don't cost ISK and AUR isn't real money. It costs real money to get AUR......how long have you been playing this game? You can't buy milk and eggs with AUR, so your point is moot.
You must be new here. In order to get AURUM in Dust, you need CASH. REAL-WORLD CASH paid to CCP via the PlayStation Network. The AUR represents that money that was spent to get it in the first place. You can't get a cash-refund on it, but it's still representing money. Just in a different form.
By the way, eggs and milk have nothing to do with this. |

Prove it.
They are removed the BPOs from the market and eventually remove them from the merc packs. But CCP did mention that they will allow current owners to keep their copies because... well... we paid for them already.
Alternatively there is always the option of refunding the AURUM back to their accounts for the value of the BPOs, but as the case of what happened back in closed-beta proves, that is a very bad idea that can have major economic ramifications that might be irreversible in the future.
So from now on, only a privileged few will have access to the BPOs. |

i dont care either way, just throwing it out there
Well, it sure as hell ain't gonna be AURUM refunds. I'll tell you why.
Back in closed beta, some players purchased BPOs by the bulk. Hundreds of them for a single player alone. Prices back then were cheap. 100-300 AURUM
Open beta comes. Prices skyrocket to as much as 1,000-12,000 AURUM
If CCP were to reimburse the players now, there will be some few ELITE players who will be in a position of financial power.
Let's say you bought 500 BPOs at 100 AURUM a piece back in closed beta. You spend 50,000 AURUM (just above $20 worth). If you get reimbursed now for the value of the BPOs (say 2,000 AURUM on average right now), then you will get 500,000 AURUM back. That means 450,000 AURUM will magically appear into your wallet with no more actual cash given to CCP. Now imagine players who have more than 500 units of BPOs while some of those BPOs are valued at close to 12,000 AUR. The math gets crazy. |

One run per match is too limiting.
Just locking them into a player hangar is good enough though. I'm ok with keeping my BPOs anyways. |

Still don't make sense though. By the time the secondary market comes around, only a few players will have access to them. By "a few players" I mean players like you and me who still have a chance to get them before they run out. These items will become super rare in the future. Take a look at Eve Online where there are still players who still own T2 Blueprint Originals before CCP no longer gave them out. Those players can still sell those BPOs at super-ridiculous prices. Imagine one day paying 5 Billion ISK in Dust for a BPO shield extender. That BPO better be worth the money spent. That's why I think making BPOs a one-run-per-match item would be foolish. |
