You should be able to pickup weapons from fallen soldiers on the battlefield.
New players never really have a chance to see the different weapons of Dust without specing into them. It would help players choose what direction they want to go, and reduce the monotony of seeing the same weapon over and over again.
Obviously you would only be able to pickup a weapon that you have a slot for, IE: If you have a Heavy Weapon slot, then you could only pickup a Heavy weapon.
As for the tier of the weapons, any player would be able to pickup the lowest level available any weapon. If you have zero training in assault rifles, you would still be able to pickup a militia assault rifle. Higher Tiers of that weapon (Duvolle, GEK etc.) would still be able to be picked up, but at a penalty. IE: A player with no skill in AR can pickup a Duvolle, but it becomes as effective as militia, due to the low player skill. If the player has level 5 AR skill, then they can pickup a Duvolle with no penalty.

Well the FW salvaging is basically at the end of a match, 25% of all dropped equipment is shared out.
I (and probably OP) was thinking of looting, and directly salvaging from dead bodies on the ground. |

End of game salvage isn't what I'm talking about. I'm talking about picking up a weapon from a dead body, and using it for that life. Or until you make it to a supply depot. |

I like this idea it should be there and it doesnt make any damn sense that its not there...................Oh ye it does make sense . Because if it was there then we would know what we wanna build up and some people would go out in the field and use other peoples weapons that they kill instead of buying AUR like a FUKING NOOB .
Look man that idea is great but ccp wont allow it becasue it will take from the money and thats all there about why you think there's no way to give sp but you can give money ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
because with sp you wouldn't need to buy ****. |

This will be added, but not how you think. You'll get the weapons, but you won't be able to use them during that match, you know, like every other shooter? |

For every Duvolle dropped on the field there will be 3 or 4 mercs trying to get it and not a single one who has the skills to wield it
or they do and forgot that their fit is too tight and now they cant move at all because their suit went offline.
What if one accidentally grabs the sidearm instead? Your Light weapon just got pinched by the newberry on your left.
Of course while you are trying to decide whether to pick up the Toxin or the Exile -That heavy with the Assault FG has a bead on you.
Playing musical chairs with your weapons is a bad idea. |

In what game do you think happens? Where picking up weapons turns into 'musical chairs'. Or is this just a flat out guess from you?
Also, I explained penalties for picking up weapons you are not skilled into.

Point is these weapons are a part of the suit, they are not a separate thing. They dissolve when the suit does. The weapons in highest demand have highest fitting requirements. Your idea would separate the weapon slot modules from the suit. You want the weapons to be dropped items. Your weapon would have to drop if you picked up another. Can you field a suit where your CPU or PG is red? Why should you be able to pick up a gun and have the gun magically transform because you touched it? You have more faith in blueberries than I if you envision a world where blueberries and red dots would let you play with your fitting on the battlefield and leave you alone. |

'Let you play with your fitting and leave you alone'... What are you talking about? Who's playing with what?...
It would be a good gameplay feature to pick up a different weapon for the remainder of that life. Simple as that.
