Since we now have two major projects in play that the devs need feedback on, I'd like to create a central place on Skype to chit chat about each, as chill an atmosphere as I can create by ruthlessly booting any asshats that want to come wreck up constructive dialogue. If that becomes more work than I care to take on, I reserve the right to abandon any channel at any time and leave you to yourselves.
The goal here is to create a place where we can discuss big projects in play and for me to gather feedback to take to CCP, and hence I will personally moderate the channels.
I'll invite anyone who contacts me on Skype: Hans.Jagerblitzen
Current Dust Scussions:
-Faction Warfare
-Vehicle Rebalance
Rules are simple:
1.) Absolutely no corporate bickering. These are not places to bring your metagame. They are out of character, safe neutral environments and while I won't be around to monitor 24/7 (I am not responsible for content that erupts in the channel, only for removing bads after the fact. ) A little friendly banter while discussing a feature, fine - but start bitching about how the imps did this or ROFL did that and you're toast.
2.) Absolutely no factional bickering. FW enthusiasts - I have a zero tolerance for rants about bias in the mechanics, or about your faction can't get ahead cause of the rules, or any of that abloobloo. Leave your colors at the door, this is about improving the systems for everyone, not just your faction that's winning/losing atm. If the rules hurt your faction, they'll hurt your enemy too once things turn around, so i have no patience for folks that can't discuss game mechanics objectively.
3.) No harassment - If you have major beef with someone in the channel, ignore them. Say what you want about the feature, or hear them out, but personal disputes will be grounds for ejection from the channel.
4.) Keep topics focused. This not only includes talking primarily (80-90%) about the subject of the channel, but it also includes your chatter about said topics. If the devs have said "Were not doing capacitors at this time" I dont have much patience for hearing a bunch of bitching and moaning about how CCP sucks and this will be so much better if they just did capacitors. If your feedback isn't relevant enough that it can't be completed as an adjustment to the proposed system, its prolly not very helpful at this time. This is not the magical Christmas channel where you beg for ponies (Nova Knife will be heading up that one.)
5.) No doomsday prophets. Yes, I'm perfectly aware Dust is dying. You don't have to tell us in the channel. Take that bullshit elsewhere, I just want to hear interesting useful stuff.
6.) Respectfully educate. Discuss the merits or drawbacks of an idea, not the person - start insulting each other's intelligence and you're out.
7.) Don't be a jerk. This one's easy: all the other annoying stuff you might do falls under this category.
That's it, thanks for joining! I''ll warn people before I take action, I'm not cruel. But participation in the channel is at my discretion - this is a privilege, not a right, and I have little patience for those that want to waste other community member's time by shitting up a good conversation.
