I'm just sayin'. you might as well use a laser rifle. fitting is too high, imo but it's a fun fun fun weapon.
The Amarr assault bonus multiplies the difference between the laser rifles. The difference between an ELM-7 and a standard LR on a proto suit is more like the difference between a Viziam & standard on any other. |

At Amarr assault 5, the std OHs at 20, the ELM at 16, and the viziam at 11. The extra 9 shots you get is a massive risk anyway, as the OH penalty for the viziam is so much higher. Frankly, the standard laser is the best laser. There is not much of a point to spec into lasers past the first level as the passive bonus is pretty much useless as well.
That's a massive difference for an experienced laser user who needs to squeeze that killing blow out of the clip.
