Edit: I also find it pointless if you can manually tone down the graphics if you're struggling with FPS. |

I found it to be unplayable. The screen was full of huge flickering squares, no way of telling which of them were parts players, lets alone if they were enemies or not.
It was smoother though.
Not tried it since 1.0 or maybe 1.1. |

Just turn down the graphics settings in the menu. No need to downrez the game down red the textures just turns off most normal normal map textures |

Ok for CQC, but makes fine aiming impossible at longer ranges. AR bullet animation, hives/uplinks. and explosives still kill your fps, even in 480p.
As with most things, CCP aims at the bulk of the playerbase hence most performance "improvements" are geared toward 720p with textures/details != low. |
