Anyone else think that is way too many spots for an organized squad to fill in casual battles?

But to answer you question: no. A squad doesn't guarantee a victory unless they're good and organized (notice how I didn't mention gear?).

6 is a good number for squad size. The problem is that 16 per team is a bit too low considering Dust's map size and gameplay style.

Obviously 16 is too low, but I agree 6 is a good squad size. Still, since it is only 16 per side then squads should really be limited to 4 players in public matches. If you want your 6 man squads to FW or something.

I'm talking about pub matches, which are supposed to be casual friendly, and are not.

Its like when you go for a casual roam around low sec and you get jumped by a fleet of battle ships and an Archon capital ship.

None of you guys are getting the point. I'm not saying "nerf teamwork" or "make squads smaller." Keep it all the same. What I am saying is there should be some place for people to go if they want to play a little more casually that limits the squad size. I understand "sandbox," that's not the point.

Updated the OP since people are missing the point. And True, when was the last time you played the game without a squad? When was the last time you were even remotely interested in playing without a squad? What about the last time you logged on, saw none of your usual squad guys on, and decided to log off? Exactly.

 EDIT:
Here's a little more details what I mean,

Public Matches: 4 man squads max. No team deploy. No impact on anything in New Eden. A place for people to go for more casual play while some minor limitations to ensure matches are a little more competitive. Great if you only have a couple buddies to squad with or no one at all.

Faction Warfare: 6 man squads max. Team deployed allowed. Impact on New Eden. A place for more competitive battles and people who want to play the sandbox.

Planetary Conquest: 6 man squads max. Team deployed allowed. Impact on New Eden. A place for complete organization of all war efforts and full sandbox experience.
in pubs, I think squads should be allowed 4 people max
in FW, I think squads should be allowed 6 people max
in PC, I think squads should be allowed 8 people max

Public matches need a gear level limit to make it casual.

Gear makes up for not being good.

Last time I did was a great 17/0 match, but I understand your point, though I try not to play this game alone because it simply is too boring without friends to talk to.

Gear makes up for not being good. [/quote]Disagree there, just a little less organization is all IMO. Organization is great, but if everywhere you go is full of completely organized squads then there is no casual sector.

You're right, it's not relevent at all. I have great matches when going solo too, doesn't change the fact that there is a high probability you're going to walk into a pub stomp.

With 6 man squads, it should be 18v18 at the smallest.
