So I've got both the Amarr Assault a.k0 and the Amarr Logistics a.k0 but cannot decide which I want to run the majority of the time - assault, or logi suits.
On one hand the logi suits have the built in armor rep so without repair modules I can still rep my armor at 5hp/s which is nice. I can also set up my logi fits to do just about anything - from a hacker suit to a demolitions expert to a field medic, I can do it all.
On the other hand you have the Amarr assault suits that have the wonderful reduction to laser weaponry overheat time. THIS RACIAL BONUS IS A GODSEND FOR A SCR OR LR USER. There have been so many times where I have tried to use the CRW or Imperial on a my logi suit, and the overheat kills me. The assault suit is inherently faster than the logi suit and also has better stamina and stamina regen. The assault suit isn't as versatile as the logi suit though and is mainly used for killing the enemy (yeah I know...duh ASSAULT).
Just trying to figure out which to use the most. |

May as well let you in on a secret
Stack shield extenders and armor reps on your logi suit with one complex plate and youll have a better assault than the assault since the bonus to reps and the suits innate repair backed by the shield buffer will make you ridiculously hard to kill with even basic defensive movements |

Or you could do both, like I did. First, get both to advanced. After that, play around with AUR to figure out which proto suit I liked better, than specced into it. For me it resulted in specing into proto Cal Logi first, then Assault. Hope this helps...Lead
p.s. I tend to agree with Delta that Logi is probably the better choice, but that's a decision that you should probably arrive at yourself as it is fairly dependent on playstyle. |

As I said, I already have proto in both, I'm just trying to decide which I enjoy the most.
I'm leaning towards the logi because I have one fit with it that I love and reps armor ridiculously fast, but my proto Amarr Assault with the Imperial or Carthum has a soft spot in my heart as well. |

How about you use them depending on the situation?
Flip a coin and once it is in the air, think about your problem. Whichever one you think is the one. Be honest with yourself. Dig deepinto your feelings.

im adding the assault to my amar heavy amar logi proto arsenal for just that reason..i run stnd amar assault in pubs.
Isnt it cheaper than logi? and i know mine will be cheaper cause i use lr and elms only one worth putting on that.
