This was posted on another forum, and is being repeated here.
A friend of a friend of mine, who's an author--not a gamer, says we are nuts for playing this game, but that the social/corporation/career creating thing is really cool. But he says if Dust is gonna be a separate personality from EVE Online, we oughta create corporation names that have a cool "Dust" style to 'em (so EVE players will know "we are DUST SPECIALISTS you're arranging a contract with, not the spaceship jockey corps you've done business with before)
So they threw me some name suggestions that might sound more like something you'd to expect from the "Dust" universe. Some of them I think are ROCK-ON accurate for us mercs, (all look politically safe too), and are not your typical blood/lucifer/vengeance/ninja' themes. Please consider these as free for anyone who wants to start a corp but is just obsessed with finding a unique name.
Stick your favorite word like Industries/Corporation/Clan/ etc on the end of one, add water, stir, and you're good to go. Hope you can use em!!

Some cool names there. It's just about the player really. Some players just make a name and keep going. And then you have the few, like me, who might take some time to consider what name they want for corporation or player identity.
Oh my corporation name is cool...I like the play on words and it sounds like some distant future mob organization...
But that's a writer for ya. Always wanting a name that will spark your interest or ensnare your attention. Good stuff |
