Day 4: Hostile Acquisition
[START TRANSMISSION: TACNET COMMANDERGÇÖS LOG]
Guerilla warfare. That was our prime directive.
After the dust settled in Pristine leadership from 0uter.Heaven and Ancient Exiles convened for drinks and festivities, but that didnGÇÖt last very long.
Now that we have established a base of command, the invasion is underway. Our first deployments today have been to harass enemy convoys and settlements, for the purpose of maintaining constant pressure and destroying troop morale at the low end of the hierarchy.
It was fascinating to see a squad leader scramble around as his soldiers drop one after the other.
I saw an old friend of mine on the other side today, seems like STB is reaching around to other systems and grabbing mercs for hire. The battle didnGÇÖt go well for him, but he got paid handsomely so it was worth the blood and guts he spilled for the GÇ£causeGÇ¥. I managed to contact him after the nanites finished scavenging whats left of an STB forward base defense squad, what he told me was confirmation that our plan was working; we were breaking them. I wrote up a report of my findings in light of this new intel.
Soon we will execute our final march into Sver Prime, soon we will burn it to the ground and New Eden will watch as we ascend it from the ashes.
But for now, I must strip and maintain my Imperial Scrambler Rifle, its seen much action today. Seems like the focusing crystal is starting to wear, must remember to contact depot supervisors to send in a replacement, hopefully soon I will receive my blue focusing crystal from Carthum Industries, the yellow is starting to look quite drab.
In 1 hour I am to ambush a supply convoy transferring supplies into a forward defense base, it wasnGÇÖt hard at all to track their troop movement and supply routes. It baffles that their forces are so easily scanned by this new Gallente active scanning system, definitely a good investment.
Our final deployment for the day was to a Space Cannon facility, our orders were to eradicate its occupants and secure it to reduce incoming fire to our Frigates. To my surprise we were greeted by one brave soldier, a single heavy infantry unit holding the last null cannon by himself, he was almost surprised to see me as I swooped in with my python and charge shot him in the heart. I made sure to terminate his clone with a shot to the temple.
The place was littered with dead clone husks.
Their entire battalion abandoned the facility. We secured the city and frankly got quite bored, so we did what cloned super soldiers do when theyGÇÖre bored; kill each other. It was all in good fun, we left the bloody battlefield to reconvene back in our base of commands for some much needed rest. Sure the body is fresh and cloned, but war aches the mind too.
As I said before their strength is failing, today we strike fear into their hearts, soon we will strike the final blow into the heart of Sevr Prime. It is near.
