If 1.7 is true then just how is AV going to stand any chance at all versus:

I was reading a thread about posible changes in 1.7 and I read this:

Railguns and missiles are getting buffed, however, not nerfed as you claim. Railguns will have smaller heat costs with higher damage per shot. Missiles also get increased damage per missile, in addition to the large variants being fully automatic with a 12 round clip and .15s fire interval, which will make large missile turrets have the highest DPS in the game.

Missiles also have lower splash radius and damage than MD's and grenades and lower splash damage but higher radius than a flaylock. Plus a missile tanker just constantly spamming missiles is going to be making allot of trips back to the redline to restock on ammo. Plus the full auto will most likely get a downside to keep it balanced like all other weapons do for their variants. Assault MD for example higher radius lower damage. Assault forge gun lower charge time higher damage oh wait that one is kind of best of both worlds but you get the picture. |

I hope it indicates ten seconds.......
However since we did have murder taxis, TAR, core flaylocks, fused locus grenades, etc.
I fully expect it to be a one second reload since there is room for cooldown skills to reduce that reload time.
Then folks will post threads about it and it will get a balance pass after two months of tanks murdering infantry.
Instead of that lets point to that posibility in this thread and hope? CCP really checks to make sure its really ten seconds and not ten tenths of a second. |

Last I remember, CCP said the vehicle change was being pushed to after 1.7.
Are these missile changes confirmed? How much of the stats I saw on their spreadsheet are placeholder, and what's confirmed? Is there a list of changes to compare current stats to future stats? |

1.8s to fire entire clip, 10s reload with zero skills. Missiles will have the highest burst DPS. Also, terrible blast radius, which I'm hoping is a joke.
@True Adamance: you'll need an Amarr hull to make a Khanid Vehicle.
@pyramidhead: I'm not sure if you'll have the CPU to have a missile Maddy? Currently Gunnlogis have about 50% more CPU (I'm totally recalling this from memory) than Madrugars, but after the patch they will have about 100% more CPU. |

Fun facts (some of them already stated by Harpyja in above post):
1.8 seconds to fire all 12 missiles. 10 second reload time, 7.5 with max skills. 12 missiles will do around 6.4k damage with no damage mods etc. A Madrugar hull has enough HP to survive that 6.4k damage with a single hardener active. Then add in plates or whatever it has fitted besides that. After that 6.4k damage you're a sitting duck for 10 (or 7.5) seconds in which time the other tanker should have enough time to kill you unless he sucks (or has to reload as well, although blaster and railgun reload is shorter). |

not really missiles will just be the md of tanks usefull very usefull in their category worthless outside of it...i can see missile bombardment being MAYBE effective i have a hard time believing ccp will ever do anything good for vehicles.
area denial being my specialty this may actually be fun but not OP never ever attach the phrase OP to tanks ccp will take that asa go ahead to swing they're nerf hammer wildly all over em again. railguns and forges will still wipe out the caldari tanks before they even see them coming..what irritates me is caldari tanks get 1 weapon that is terrible compared to gallente ..the blasters and rails have always trumped missile except 1 time in early development..i dont see them doing anything to missiles that will make caldari stand a chance vs gallente
to be hones if any portion of vehicles comes out balanced vs their tier of av itll be gallente and still tanks will only be able to face adv av. ccp has and always will make caldari the lesser in all aspects so dont worry about missiles being op...they're WILL be some aspect that will make calari havs undoable they're always is

Because FG and swarms will still have a 300/400m distance where as your oh so awesome missiles can only hit to around 250, thus 50m short
Plus if you fire all missiles and dont get a kill you have a 7.5sec reloading time
If your hardners finish which they will do in about 30-40seconds then you have no resistances so they can waste you even easier
We have no AV numbers but if the range doesnt change for them then advantage AV once again while i waste my hardners/booster just to get to the objective before i get blown up at the objective because i used everything i had to survive just to get there

What about the infantry??
Did you mean the DEAD infantry here or these smears that used to be infantry over here??
That means that objectives outside the city are a harvesting field for these "sitting duck" ..lol! missile tanks.
Anywho I will train up shotgun or mass driver and stay inside a city or run a sniper.

Yeah but every time CCP trots out these new changes its broken so once 1.7 or 1.8 hits then just to be safe its either trot out a tank or stay in the cities.
I will try out these new builds for a bit. But after December hits I will be playing a few other games. |

Actually, 6.4k raw damage turns into about 8.3k armor damage. Assuming armor hardeners give 40% resistance, this turns into a little over 5k damage. So any Gallente tank without a plate will get destroyed. This is of course if it's shield is depleted.
However, if fitted correctly, a Gunnlogi can withstand the damage output from that tank long enough for the missiles to reload at max skills and shoot a second volley, if needed. All of this, is of course, assuming three things: armor resistance mod gives 40%, shield resistance mod gives 60%, and both tanks have no passengers operating the small turrets. Otherwise a Gunnlogi should win in most cases now if it has two small missile turrets that are operated as well. |

Nope. A closed beta player remembers when Sagaris went 40 and 0 when driven by noobs and 70 and 0 when better drivers were on the field.
I will try out tanks in either 1.7 or 1.8 And if they are broken then this time I will not do the honorable thing and refuse to use them. |

Railguns will have smaller heat costs with higher damage per shot. Missiles also get increased damage per missile, in addition to the large variants being fully automatic with a 12 round clip and .15s fire interval, which will make large missile turrets have the highest DPS in the game. Because FG and swarms will still have a 300/400m distance where as your oh so awesome missiles can only hit to around 250, thus 50m short Plus if you fire all missiles and dont get a kill you have a 7.5sec reloading time If your hardners finish which they will do in about 30-40seconds then you have no resistances so they can waste you even easier We have no AV numbers but if the range doesnt change for them then advantage AV once again while i waste my hardners/booster just to get to the objective before i get blown up at the objective because i used everything i had to survive just to get there HMMM begins to train tanks to try out these missile tanks. Tanks are fine once 1.7 hits. Nothing to see here, move along citizen. So a non vehicle pilot trys to tell a vehicle pilot that 'tanks are fine' No Nope. A closed beta player remembers when Sagaris went 40 and 0 when driven by noobs and 70 and 0 when better drivers were on the field. I will try out tanks in either 1.7 or 1.8 And if they are broken then this time I will not do the honorable thing and refuse to use them.
You mean when barely anyone used AV back in chromosome?
No AV tank goes 40-0 because no resistance, good pilots do better

No AV as in no AV in the match, no one tried to kill the tank because they were too busy trharding with an AR
Also barely anyone used AV back in the day, trying to solo a tank with weak ass milita stuff
To kill a tank back then bring out your own tank to counter it |

A Gunnlogi's shield can almost absorb an entire clip from a large blaster turret if fitted properly and the operator does the right things. The Gunnlogi might make it out in armor if it doesn't shoot back the whole time (and this is more than enough time to fire two full clips of large missiles to pop that armor tank). Of course, this may not be true with proto blasters, since their damage output is currently the same. You're already reversing the hardener values. |

You mean ANTI VEHICLE weapons which are made to deal with VEHICLES and heavily damage VEHICLES got nerfed against INFANTRY?
