After i had some fun runs on BF4 ive noticed similar gameplay (dont come with the "BF" is a realistic shooter BS). Well lets get started in how both games are similar:
-Vehicles Dropships vs helicopters: at the moment we have dropships that act like the transport choppers from BF but with the difference that our passangers are 100% useless. on BF you can use repair tools and ALL weapons in the game while beeing in a helicopter. Additionally pilots get points for spawns on their vehicles and whenever some 1 does get a kill they get assist points for it. hell you can even deploy all sorts of equipment on a helicopter. Like ammo boxes attached to it. The turrets are allways lethal against infantry. And in my opinion there should be a HMG variant for dropships with longer range. Another thing is aireal vehicles have flares to counter stingers. Im sure we could get something similar for swarms
message to CCP: allow all weapons and equipments on dropships and give pilots points for SPAWNS on their vehicle. And swarm launcher countermeasures.
HAV's vs Tanks: On battlefield they can take a couple of hits and deal alot of damage. However the dust variant is insanely OP compared directly to it. THis gets flipped upside down when you have a engineer repairing your tank where the BF tank is then stronger. And they have aswell IR flares to stop lock on with something like a javeline.
message to CPP: introduce shield rechargers/repair tools which are specific boosted for vehicles. Swarm launcher countermeasures please aswell.
Spawn mechanics: on battlefield you can spawn on squadmembers and objectives so i think it would be nice to see if we get a module which works like a mobile drop uplink (proto modules should not be better then uplinks!but should take less CPU/PG) This would give scouts a very tactical advantage. Like he is speed fit and your squad waits till he arrived the objective and then every 1 spawns on him.
message to CCP: give us a option to spawn on squad/team members.
Gameplay: BF has conquest and dust has skirmish. Lets face it those are the main gamemodes in their game. On battlefield 4 the ticket counter goes down when you have less objectives taken then the enemy. Example: there are 3 objectives and if you hold 2 out of 3 then only the enemy tickets go down. Not yours. I would like to see a adaptation to skirmish. Have more 51% of the battlefield under your controll and only the hostile MCC will take damage. Lore wise you could say that a MCC can tank incoming damage fine as long only 1 out of 3 nullcanons are shoting it (or 2 out of 5). This would mean that the enemy team can allways counter attack and still win. Oh and get rid of the MCC vs MCC damage. And lets be honest when your MCC has like 60% armor remaining and the enemy still has 50% of their shields the match is lost and you allready gave up.
message to CCP: make skirmish a game mode where you even can loose if you screw up after dominating the enemy team. |

no... you got it somewhat wrong...
Dust514 wants to be Dust514, but the community wants it to either be call of duty (those that openly express their hatred of anything that makes them think), or battlefield (those that want vehicles to work like social assets and not like personal assets).
theres a very small vocal group of us that wants this to be dust 514 but nobody listens to us. |

the balance in bf4 is that the rockets you have to reload after you shoot and the tanks are actually fast enough to leave the firefight and they have huge stomping power which makes them sustainable, you just have to be smart with your tank. |

I think Dust wanted to be more like Halo, with some Section 8 thrown in. If you play both games, you'll see some aesthetic similarities. |

More speed and torque.
Heavier more damaging skill shot weapons.
Would drastically affect the dynamic of tank combat as well as Tank vs Infy combat. |

I personally want Dust 514 to... well... stop listening to the goddamn community. Not to sound like an ass, but they should really shun us. We've cried, and cried, and cried for them to listen to us. Look at what happened. Look at where we are. It's ironic for me to say "not to listen" and put this here, I know, but the game's basics should be placed in before balance is made repeatedly. |

Yea we all want Dust, however it doesn't mean we want the smallest maps possible, lack of different environments, smallest amount of players, lack of QoL features (can't reload while running but walking, really + sooo many more), ugly visuals (it is 2013 afterall) and many of the unfinished features let alone not having every racial suit by now. The list goes on and on and on, CCP needs to wake up and start working instead of delivering those bandaid patches with half the promised features cut out. |

But this game sucks at trying to be something new. Obviously, something is working in those other games. Just like EVE, CCP's methodology appeals to only a select few and stays in its little nicheGǪ a conversation piece respected for its spirit and vision but poor in its operation. Ten years made it a decent game.
DUST was supposed to be a connection to EVE mechanics, not a game in its own right. Since CCP decided to go down a different, more conventional road though it's time to get even more conventional and move on to the EVE connection.
Make DUST like the other games and it will be fun according to anyone who's played those. You can't argue with success.
The final straw will be if CCP drops the ball on vehicle rebalance. It'll be pretty clear by then that their "vision" and their ability to develop are two different things.
This thing needs to work now, not in ten years. |

Btw, there is a way....ifthe other team is cloning you down, you can grab points and win by damage. You shouldnt be able to win if you cant win. |

That was the only point I agreed with in the OP. Unpredictability of battles would be hilariously fun. Obviously those who want serious FPS can just play FW/PC, but pub matches should be filled with random event generators.
What if meteors suddenly plummeted down from the sky, pulverised a squad of protobears redlining, altered the terrain to make it easier for the other team to push back?
What if the 'tabletop' building on Line Harvest collapsed in the middle of a match, turning the raised platform into a lowered barrier (and crushing anything underneath it at the time)
What if we're fighting during a time when a moon orbiting that planet eclipses a sun and everything gets spookily dark?
What if an orbital failed to launch because the war barge was sabotaged by Scotty?
Why not? We're fighting in a universe of infinite possibilities, why are the conditions for every battle the same? I apologise to the conservatives who like tradition and routine, and those who rely on these patterns of pubstomping and redlining to pad their KDRs, but a little spice wouldn't hurt. |

If i wanted to play BF or COD i would be at the "Popular" games section playing those, but i am done with those games that each year bring out a "new" version
I want a shooter that lasts, and CCP has as the only company shown so far that they can make something that lasts 10 years without feeling the need to make a new game every year.
Eve had a bumpy ride and it took indeed 10 years, but if they succeed, ill be playing Dust in 10 years with Eve standards of game mechanics and you will be Playing Battlield 14 with its same set of features from BF4, slightly diffrent and with better graphics.
If i am wrong about Dust and it forks over, i will also be playing BF14, just like you and it didnt really matter if i missed BF4-13...

Id be happy if i could have the little bird in DUST with mini guns, small little agile craft, quick in and out and it could be like the LAV in the sky with maybe a 3/2 layout and decent enough shields/armor, maybe keep it a 4seater

Dust shouldn't be like any other game. This is why it's not fun now- too many self enitled prats, coming on here with their little requests that kill diversity in this game and CCP listened to them. TTK has dropped down to almost CoD levels, vehicles are a joke, everyone brick tanks just to live an extra 0.0001 second and if I here someone tell me what my suit should be for or tosses out the term slayer- I'm going to drown a ragdoll kitten! |

No
Also in BF4 tanks only stop moving if you do a critical shot on the engine, ive still be able to move fine at 30%, sometimes at 70% ive been stopped with an engine hit |
