Based on your preferences, you seem like a shounen man; I suggest Cowboy Bebop, as it is consistently ranked as one of the best animes ever. Another one is Rurouni Kenshin, which has a slow start, but it builds very well. I also recommend Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic; it's up and coming, but pretty good overall. |

I tried watching cowboy bebop but it came off as cheesy I only watched 1 ep tho
You have to watch it all the way through. Most of the series is character progression; the ending is the killer part, but is only effective if you watch all the other episodes. Also, on Rurouni Kenshin: watch ONLY until episode 62, after that episode, it's utter filler and terrible. Once you're done with that though, watch Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal OVAs. |

Special Mentions:
Hanamaru Kindergarten: Not very good, but through YouTube it helped me find...
Familiar of Zero: Re-sparked my interest in anime, likely forever. Saw all three seasons in one day. Was sad when I found out the creator had cancer, later the next year he was cured and the final season aired. Loved it.
Some of my Favorites:
Angel Beats: The single saddest thing I've watched, totally worth it though
Mirai Nikki: When an anime gives birth to a meme you know it's good.
Death Note: Blissful
Cowboy Bebop: No words needed
Sword Art Online: Actually a prequel of sorts to Accel World which I've yet to watch. Good.
Inuyasha: I was so young...
Dragon Ball/Z: Is this not everyone's first?
Elfen Lied: Dark as hell. So freaking dark.
Ouran High School Host Club: <3
Black Butler: Surprising amounts of... "male bonding". Still one HELL of an anime though.
Oreimo: Don't judge me. Bad ending.
Kenichi: History's Mightiest Disciple: I wish it had a 3rd season though.
Fullmetal Alchemist/Brotherhood: For obvious reasons.
The Eccentric Family: Just ended. Nice change of pace.
Blue Exorcist: Good. Movie just came out too.
Currently:
BlazBlue: Alter Memory: FINALLY AFTER ALL THESE YEARS WAITING
Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic: Just started.
You pick up Magi at my suggestion, or you actually found it? It's where I got my base ideas for the Sand nation after all. |

Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) shares the same voice actor for the main character with Magi; SNK/AOT is pretty good to boot (even though there are complaints about the last episode of season 1 from the manga fans). I'm planning on watching Madoka Magica, which I hear is pretty sad. Also, I've been recently watching AnoHana, which I hear is also extremely sad. Another of my buddies recommended Planetes to me; I've been thinking of watching Clannad and Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya to broaden my horizons. The latter requires a special watching order though. Eventually going to get around to watching the first 2/3 of Death Note and Baccano! Still looking to watch Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex as well as FLCL. So little time, so many shows. |

Nice wall of text brah, do you even enter brah? Anyone here play Touhou? It's an game series with anime art-style that's really fun (and hard). The entire game series, and all their print works (ranging from manga, to book, to artbook) are available for free too, here's their official website: http://moriyashrine.weebly.com/They also have OVAs (fan-made, not official) but only 2 (of 3) episodes have been released so far.
Yeah, I enter, but walls are better defensively and superior to flimsy 2D lines.
And yes, a buddy of mine plays the games (mainly for the music). |

Finished Anohana. No tears unexpectedly (though the ending did manage to give me feels and water my eye gardens), ending was good and gave a good idea of what'd happen next.- Rating: 8.8/10
NOW onto Madoka Magica, all in dubs because I hear it's better. Then, I'll move onto Clannad and Haruhi, from which I'll watch Baccano! or Ghost in the Shell: SAC. |

I was down to one anime(Magi season 2) which is strange for me. So I decided to watch the entire Monogatari series starting with Bakemonogatari. To compare it to something I'd say it's like Mushishi except with lots of metahumor as opposed to heart touching drama. Conversations are very fast paced and not much happens action wise. Still good nonetheless.
I'm telling you, Magi season 2 flips all the feels over. First 6 episodes just made me feel different about some of the characters.
