All time favorite: Trigun
My current favorite that is airing right now is "Attack on Titan". Though I am also following "Valrave the Liberator" and "Highschool DxD" as well. "Sword Art Online" is great too. "Accel World" is by the same guy who made Sword Art so if you liked that I highly recommend checking it out and vice versa. "The Devil is a Part Timer" is also interesting if you dig comedy. "Campione" is also good if you like shonen style with some romance thrown in.
Oh and "Coppelion" is good so far but only has two episodes out as it just started airing on Hulu so we shall see. It is a post apocalyptic type setting with three genetically modified females as the main cast. Of course for some dumb reason they also wear school uniforms but no idea why because the tactical situation they are in would be better served with a different set of clothes lol... |

knight of 6 wrote:why do you like SOA? honest question no troll, I watched the whole thing in two days the first because I loved the series and the second day because I wanted it to end.
during the first half I was like "oh noes! there is no season 2 what will I do when it ends it's sooo good." then I thought what would they do with a second season? get trapped in a different game... that would be super lame. they could do a slice of life re-adjusting to the real world thing that could be good I guess.
and then they did it! they got stuck in another game and I hated every second of it and I wanted so badly for it to be over. that corny villain Jesus christ capcom has better writers.
as far as recommendations for people looking for something good:
Ouran High school host club (yes I'm a dude, yes I laughed my ass off) Gundam 00 5 centimeters per second boco no pico darker than black elfen lied angel beats! black rock shooter CANAAN cowboy bebop the girl who leapt through time ghost in the shell Higurashi no Naku Koro ni last exile [I picked this simply for the goat] Toaru Kagaku no Railgun
EDIT: spelling
I imagine Sword Art will follow the manga so it will take place in Gun Gale Online. I don't want to spoil the manga, but it will follow that plot line probably. Read the manga if you want to know what is probably going to happen. I liked SAO because it was interesting. You don't see many anime about virtual worlds besides the .Hack shows and Accel World which is by the same creator as SAO and probably takes place a few decades after SAO(references to Nerve Gear in it). Though I do agree that the time in SAO could have gone on for the full season. It was a bit rushed at the end.
EDIT: Also, the "special feelings" the sister had for her brother were a bit odd... even if they were not technically blood related. |

I'm not sure I'm willing to give it another shot. AO was so bad. EDIT: your kidding right? everyone falls in love with him, seriously, every women he meets throws herself at him, why would his sister be any different?
Possibly. The creators are busy doing other projects currently I believe but want to revisit it when they can. There is a lot more material to use so I would say it is a good possibility. |

Wow, can't believe I forgot Gargantia!
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet
Quote:In the distant future, a planet covered almost entirely by oceans, known as Earth, grows in space. Ledo, a boy who has known nothing but fighting all his life, saw the sea there for the first time. On its vast, faintly green waters, men organize huge naval fleets and live modest but active lives. Due to language and cultural barriers, Ledo lives as a lonely foreigner... but he's not alone. Ledo is just beginning his days on this green planet, asking what he must do to survive here, and what he is living for. |

Legend of Korra may as well be classified as an anime despite being a product of the United States as it is heavily influenced by the style. It is also a really good show. One I am comfortable with my daughter watching so its good family viewing fyi. |
