Mind you I can't speak for every member in Sver, we all have different reasons. yea I've got the cash to run proto all the time but the odds are if I'm solo I'm running ADV. I only run proto when I'm in a squad. mostly because I feel obligated to do well and contribute to the success of the group. being a scout is difficult. nobody wants you everybody loves logis, and heavies, assault suits are solid, but scouts? no ehp, no real speed, no equipment slots, mediocre dps all I have is that it takes a proto scanner to pick me up. on one hand it's an awful feeling to feel inadequate but on the other I strive to perfect my gun game, sure i'd prefer to shoot you in the back but it's not always an option so I get gud. so in my case it isn't to avoid dieing, but rather to make sure that I'm valuable to the squad. Us Commandos want you scouts, you are our opposites, but both are hard to play

Just my take on it, but why do we even keep track of kills or KDR when all of us are immortals and can die an infinite amount of times?
I mean, from a role playing standpoint, wouldn't being an immortal killing machine make you suicidal by nature? Knowing you can just come right back? Why -not- just run right in, grenades flying, guns blazing every time?
