Rinzler XVII Forsaken Immortals Top Men. 111	Posted - 2013.10.14 19:29:00 - [1] - Quote I don't mean this in the way that the things they have introduced have been rubbish or anything like that, what I mean is that 1.5 was promised to be introducing new weapons and balancing and adding vehicles ... compared to what 1.5 was going to be what we actually have is pretty much .. Meh ... I'ts like being promised an Ice Cream and being given just the cone Furthermore we now also know that 1.6 isn;t going to have these things either and is just going to be general boring fixes again ... So far compared to what CCP originally promised us .. DUST 514 is basically 1 giant .. Meh ... TL;DR Playing DUST 514 is like building a house and moving in before the electrics/windows/door/carpets/plumbing/roof have been added, sure you can live there but it's hardly ready to be lived in

Manage your expectations and pay attention to what is actually said (and not what you infer) and you are less likely to be disappointed. And no we don't know what is in 1.6. Again, they are hoping to have vehicle fixes started in 1.6 but have said it may be 1.7. I hope I'll be able to write a response without insulting you .... Oh .. Go fck yourself ... They wouldn't have even told you what they did if not for people complaining as it was - they were trying to show that they were working on it, and then people got it in their head that "planning" something was the same as "definitely happening", which it isn't and never has been in reality. Again, expectation management on your part is called for. I expected this game to be half decent .. Turns out it's a pile of Poop ...

Usually. Every smart company does this, it could be 1 day before patch and something is discovered that breaks the game 100%, like firing a mass driver 3 times then swapping to ar and emptying the clip causes the server to crash or something like that, yes that would require a commando suit. CCP are like the boy who cried wolf They keep saying fanciful things like PVE/Racial Variants of weapons/new suits/gamemodes/new maps are coming and then they don;t come and 1 day they will actually say that they are adding them and actually follow through with it but it will be to late as everyone wont believe them and will be busy playing something else

[/quote] I explained this before .. this game right now IS AWFUL .. it's a lobby shooter with balance issues a severe lack of content and bugs and glitches galore xD Doesn't mean I don't like it, doesn't mean I don't think it can become a good game but it doesn't stop it being awful lol I'm disappointed because CCP said they were potentially working on fixing 1 of those problems (the lack of content) but they didn't .. I hoped they would add them .. I didn't expect them too I HOPED and they didn't .. TL;DR I hope to win the lottery .. I don;t expect to win the lottery .. when I don;t win the lottery I'm disappointed .. not because I'd expected to win but because there was a chance that I could win and I didn't Reason I'm not putting up with any of the crap from certain people on my own thread is because they don;t seem to be able to comprehend that you can be disappointed about something even if you;d only hoped it would happen rather than expected it to happen .. hence my lottery example and that person referred to me as an idiot despite not being able to understand this extremely simple concept hence my rather unforgiving retort

Is pretty funny Actually, hoping and expecting are two different things. Expecting something to be bad is pessimistic. Expecting something to be good is optimistic. Not expecting anything is in between and is objective. Now hope, hope is a different story. If someone has hope, then being "optimistic" or "pessimitistic" is no where included in the evaluation. It's just hope - and when you don't expect anything one way or the other, and hope wins out - then you are happy. But if you don't expect good or bad, then if it's bad you are not disappointed. This is my approach to life, not just a game. It's served me well during my 35 years on the planet. If you aren't expecting something to happen one way or the other IT IS NOT HOPE lol I now see where your entire point is coming from now, you completely misunderstood that I had only hoped that new weapons would be added and instead thought that I was expecting them to be added hence my disappointment however when you hope something is going to happen and it doesn't you can be disappointed as well If you've spent your entire life not expecting anything then you have lived your life without ever experiencing hope .. sorry but unless your life is perfect and you have never suffered any hardships then livign without hope is 1 hell of a depressing way to live
