Has CCP forgotten or simply scrapped the idea? I enjoyed reading the myriad of features that are "on the backlog" or at the very least a nod to various bugs. IWS said he'd poke them about it two weeks ago to no avail and again last week we didnt get anything.
Overall it seems CCP's feedback has been dwindling regarding the next few patches. Logibro said he'd try to get us a roadmap but hasn't mentioned anything about it since. Just curious what's going on behind the scenes... |

Last two weeks we had people out of office on holidays and such, meaning we didn't have the meetings that lead into them. They'll be making their return this week. CCP Logibro // EVE Universe Community Team // Distributor of Nanites // Patron Saint of Logistics

Hopefully with the new EP, all the time off project will be reigned in. I think that was the biggest issue they were having. A "cats away" situation if ya get me. at my job, the project manager cancelled all vacation time(including my company trip to visit our sister plant in Budapest) until we completed our latest contract. |

Um, you do realize that "time off" for holidays is a cultural (both company culture and country culture), right? I mean seriously - how would you feel if you had to work Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving Day, Independence Day, etc (or insert holidays in your country). This hasn't been a vacation thing.
Be considerate dude. |

We do work those days if the job isn't completed. It's called having a grown-up job that doesn't require asking "would you like fries with that?" I was not trying to be snide, but if you follow the dev's twitter feeds you would know they have spent a lot of time away from their desks in the last few months.
Without an EP, they had no one to tell them no when it came time to crack the whip as it were. And that is what an EP's job is, to keep folks on task. To keep deadlines, and if necessary, cut dead weight from staff. I'm sorry if I come off as a jerk, but I am looking at if from a business point of view.

I have to agree with bishop but I think ccp small headcount generates a lot of OMD among the teams that makes it look like the company has more holidays than normal |

True, and good point. I think they should lay off their @CCP_whoever twitter accounts when not working and use personal ones instead. it would end a lot of this kind of threads |

Ha! If you still believe that, then you are not an adult. Despite what you hear in movies and tv, you are your job, you are your bank account, you are your kitten khakis. These are thing you don't find out till you are older, and yes they suck, but they are true. the world only cares about what you can produce. no more no less. If you are lucky, you get a good job that affords you the chance to do the things you love as well a good paycheck to support yourself and a maybe a family, but most are not so lucky.
But this is another discussion for another time... |

Just because the world only cares about what you can produce doesn't mean you have to give up everything else. I feel sorry for you if your life is that miserable, but some people actually have time for hobbies and actually enjoying life. |

No, I'm one of the lucky ones that got a good job after Uni, with no student loans( reads debt slavery) and waited till I was financially stable before having a kid. I have time for hobbies and quite enjoy my life, but when a job is unfinished, you don't go on holiday till its done. I guess I'm the a***hat for having a work ethic. So don't cry for me,Argentina . I am doing just fine. |

I would have gotten a lot more (well deserved) likes if you had waited a decent amount of time before posting... |
