Try being a MD user and trying to arc shots. I've been getting popped outside of my draw distance. Finally broke down and put my SP I've been saving up for the combat rifle in the AR. I've even seen scouts, heavies, and Amarr assaults using ARs. |

Nope, Gallente tech. Meant to be short/mid range, high DPS. But since it's a placeholder and the default rifle, it's a combination of all the racial rifle's strengths and none of the weaknesses. |

That's how it should be for the most part. Unfortunately, the only thing that can really beat an AR consistently is an ScR with its high alpha. But the nerf brigade is already complaining about that. We should all just run AR until CCP does something about it. |

The Laser is the idiot Light Weapon. Just brush over an enemy for 1 second and you can kill (After SP is put into it). There's no recoil, you don't have to aim, and you're effective from over 100m(No AR can reach that).
Perhaps you weren't playing against some scrub? Perhaps you're initial aim needs work? Perhaps you need a better suit layout? Perhaps you need to put more SP into the laser?
As far as I'm concerned, the Laser is more than adequate for its purpose. He was far enough that my dot was the size of his head...I fired and his shields were pretty much insta kill, but he was Gallente...so his armor was tough, then he turned around and blam!!! I know full well the disdain for Gallant. My SCR can't stand them. But, my SCR also can't stand some guy who just holds down the trigger and waives his sight around until he nicks me and I lose 75% of my total HP. Meanwhile, I actually charge my weapon and fire a perfect shot, only to be nicked again and killed. Lasers do not reward skill, they are on par w/ the MD; a spam weapon.
Weren't you the guy that started up the SCR QQ weeks ago? |

Maxed proficiency or stacked damage mods and you can wreck anyone at any distance. It's like Chromosome all over again. |

SCR wrecks the AR at mid range. That's why they're trying to get it nerfed- it's one of the few weapons that can compete with the damn thing. |

Not sure about the assault, I can never see where the hell I'm shooting with that thing. |
