Wtf kinda business plan is this? If you want to sell something, you don't restrict access to it. If micro transactions are the methods, stop making $150 packs. Let me buy individual items/BPOs. It's the EVE community's fault, by letting CCP think it can sell $80 monocles that don't do sh*t.
Wake up and sell product to your costumer instead of trying to give your product mystique by restriction. I swear CCP are the biggest idiots in this industry. Have they never heard of supply and demand? All they are trying to do is create a false demand by removing the BPOs we already had and placing them in expensive packs.
I for one will not be spending ANY more money on CCP until they prove they even care about their consumer. |

I for one will not be spending ANY more money on CCP until they prove they even care about their consumer. it's not just those bpo's. there's eve stuff, random stuff. it's the kind of business plan that seems to work. also, the removal of bpo's is totally unrelated to the 10 anniversary box.
So why remove the BPOs we had in the marketplace? Now the only way you can get them is by spending $50, $100 or $150 bucks. This is a f2p game, and most won't even buy anything. They don't even know their demographic. Look at how successful the recruitment program worked.
They need to release all the content they have to the players or they won't sell anything. And yes removing the existing BPOs was a calculated choice to create false demand. The supply is down which means the demand is up. Basic. And no, the business plan isn't working Dust side. Also check know out the history behind how they first introduced RM microtransactions in EVE. They nearly destroyed thier own game. Seriously, $80 for a monocle with no game effect. |
