We've recently had a couple new players join our corp and both were seeking to get voice chat working. We've walked them through as best as we could but still haven't been able to make break through.
We've made sure voice chat was enabled, then figured out if they are using push to talk or not (both were not). We've had them flop back and forth form squad to corp. they got the green light but no voices. At least one if them has used voice in other games. |

Ever since 1.5 dropped I've been having the same problem. I'm not a new player, though. I've been playing this game for over a year now, and I've never had problems with my mic before. I get the green indicator on whichever channel I select, but the little voice bubbles next to people's names doesn't appear. It's like the mic glitch that plagued us for so long and required a restart, only now it's constant. None of my settings have changed. The mic works perfectly with other games. The headphones pick up the game just fine, it's just the voice that has a problem. It's like they removed support for my type of headset during the last update

We figured it out, you need to log in with another character. Then return.

You dont actually have to log into another character. you just have to log out then you can log back in with the same character |

For me it is not working. I tried to log in with another caracter and back but still always the same messge: voice chat disconnected. reconnecting. But it never reconnects. the green light is on but there is no voice. |

Are you quiting the game through XMB or logging out through the neocom?

Can you tell me which headsets they are using?
And please tell me their character names.
Another question is did they see the error message that connection to voice chat is lost?

Also, are they on the same network? There are many reports of people sharing an internet connection losing voice chat or conflicting with each other's voice. |

We are occassionally getting the issue that a person can hear just fine, but the other cannot hear him/her - a complete restart of the PS3 has so-far been the only 100% successfull way to get it working again.
This often comes after other issues have been experienced, such as network loss or a crashes/stalled client. |

I randomly had it happen on my character.
The only way I found to fix it was to log in, then select "log out" to go back to the character select screen, and then select your character again.
Restarting PS3 multiple times never fixed the issue. |
