Give us incentive to use the basic suits over the specialized role suits (assault, logi, scout, sentinel) by turning the basic suits into different variations like we had in chromosome with the type II, type B and Vk.1
In my case,
I have Amarr Assault Lv5 and use the scrambler rifle exclusively due to the bonus, but i have protoype Assault RIfles as well, It would be dumb to use the AR with the Amarr Assault suit because I wouldnt be putting the suit bonus to use
If i instead had a bonus-less basic frame suit that had a different slot layout then the Assault I could fit it differently for different situations with different weapons
As of right now I see no other use for these basic suits other than those who accidentally spent it to level 5 without realizing they changed the requirements for role suits down to level 3 |

You dont think this is a good idea?
If not then at least make the basic suits SOMEWHAT unique, its in game content that is unusable at higher levels I want to run it but there is no good reason to
I find this to be a fundamental flaw |

Basic suits have no bonuses as an incentive to skill further into the class than the basic. They only give you basic suits so that you will have something to use while your waiting to have enough SP to skill into something further along in the class.
This is also why Basic suits have an SP multiplier cost of 4x, instead of the standard 8x. That way anybody who just for example, wants a good heavy suit and doesn't want to be a deidcated heavy can just use basic suits. (Assuming that they want something betterthan a MLT Suit. Why not just eliminate basic suits? They don't serve any purpose other than a redundant SP sink.
Its already there might as well use them. besides, wouldn't you like a variation of your own suit? it could be little stat changes like speed, overall health or hacking speed.
Just to inspire a little more variation. I think most would agree there is only a good couple of ways left to competitively fit a suit, lets open that up by introducing small changes that can be even more race specific. |

And before you ask, yes I do know that roles such as the Commando and the Logistics do not have MLT/Basic variants
This doesn't even make sense, of course im gonna use my racial suit the bonuses make a difference, im saying add variety to the basic suits to use it for different purposes. Please make arguments that are more cohesive next time.
give the basic suits a slight difference in stats that could warrant an advantage in a particular role
e.g.
Basic amarr gets slight increase to hacking speed and health to be a tanked speed hacker or a minmatar light suit that has reversed slot layout (2h3l instead of 3h2l)
