If you cannot fully spec into a basic racial suit and level 3 core of your chosen tanking type you cannot compete in this current scotty matchmaking sham. I would complain about the NPC guys as much as the next guy, so I decided to give a new char a tryout. All the talk of revamping the new player experience is worthless if they cannot get into a usable fit at second one of playtime. I beg you, for your own good to up starting SP to 1M. Newbro turnover will continue to be an issue until you fix this. I also like the shorter academy, academy griefing does become an issue when the WP total is too high. With that said, people should still enter the shark tank with the ability to field a solid basic suit. Any feedback from other people is welcome, I know people get tired of worthless team mates, but these guys are hard pressed to contribute anything without the gear to do it.

Using something not even being worked on currently to justify the current status of second 1 out of academy is BS.

The new system is much better, but it still has some of the same problems. The main one being you cant build **** on 500K.

You can hit lvl 3 on your primary tanking type very easily, then with a weeks worth of work, you can have ADV guns and Some pretty good modules.

Just because you suffered through it doesn't mean everyone needs to. My roof leaks, so therefore everybodies room needs to leak by that logic. Its a way to improve the NPE so others don't have to be annoyed as we were when we joined DUST.

It will fail until they focus on what an FPS should be. This is not the same audience as EVE. They don't get it! Fast pace or nothing. Instant usability and enjoyment or bust! It takes 3 months to get to a basic point of usability in EVE. Nobody on the FPS console side is going to stick around for that. It grates my nerves and I'm someone who actually gives CCP a chance and hangs around for their stuff.

Here's some cost breakdowns based on wiki skill pricing, assuming it's accurate. 217640 - Advanced AR 161670 - Armor/Shield Core LV3 279820 - Advanced Caldari Medium Suit Upgrade to: 827020 - Advanced Caldari Assault Suit 200000~- One Enhanced Module Type So, you could be in an ADV Caldari Assault Suit with Enhanced Shield Extenders, a GEK and level 3 in one of the core health skills with around 1.5m SP. Of course, you'd have no other core skills and all militia equipment, non-Extender modules, grenades and sidearms. It'd take around three weeks of play, hitting the active cap while getting stomped on every week, to get that fitting. At that point, all things considered, you'll be doing 5% more damage and have around 25% higher eHP than a starter fit, after 3 weeks. Of course, if you just want a basic Medium suit, you can reach that in about a week.
