We shortened the warbarge waiting time in pub matches to almost 0 so people spend more time in battle.
We have another round of matchmaking changes coming up, and a big update to FW so we might bring it back specifically for FW to give people a bit of time to organise the team. |

I do miss her telling us "Suicide is restricted in public areas..."
Maybe when they bring it back, the tram system will finally be opened...
This was also just a case of ourselves playing the game and thinking "we sure do spend a lot of time waiting around before battle, I'd rather be shooting in face right now". |

Fair enough, some people like the warbarge for checking out the other team and that makes sense. I'll bring it up for discussion again, maybe there is a middle ground on the timing that works well for this.
It is not supposed to be a buffer while we fill up the match though, that should happen for the most part before you enter the warbarge. We obviously still have work to do on that front, but I'll have a chat to Scotty on our next update to see if he can do a better job of that. |

So you would prefer sitting in your MQ with the "Waiting for deployment" message for a minute instead of sitting in the warbarge for a minute? Also reducing the warbarge time for FW makes it harder to get a pilot in orbit.
Yes actually we would, there is a subtle difference in that we can consider you for multiple different battles during the time in the MQ but once you are in the warbarge you are committed to that battle even if a better option opens up while you are waiting.
Good point about FW orbitals though. |
