So, after my week off of DUST. I jumped back on tonight. The first 2 games were me being rusty, and a 5fps framerate on a sh*tty connection. About the third match in, I was back to old habits. Played 3 Ambush. Used the GEK-38 and CRW SCR. Did a few HMG matches. And one Shotgun match. But used the SCR 90% of the night, as usual.
Joined some random squad on the squad finder (which I think is kind of cool) played some Domination and Skirmish.
I noticed NOTHING different about how the game felt in matches. My shots were still there, the same WTF moments still happened, I DIDN'T get a single 2500 WP game (2 games were close-ish w/ 2100+ and 2200+) it felt like the same ole DUST 514 I left 10 days ago.
As far as the added content outside of matches, yes something is wrong with the communication nodes. But, I almost always mute everyone, every time anyway.
Thus far, I'm seeing the mainstream problems people were squaking about. Maybe I got lucky this time? Have any of you really noticed a difference in the game? Or, are people just blaming usually bad deaths on the new update/scapegoat?
...now... off to get my solo Orbital, it drives me insane when I play a session and don't get one.
Oh, how do you do the tutorials? I heard if you go through them, you get a free 1-day Active Booster. And since I almost always cap in one day, I think I might actually use it.

Oh, I forgot to add and ask.
Has anybody noticed one change; that being the payouts.
No matter what I score in a match, 350,000+ ISK rewards in a match are almost as rare as me salvaging a Balac's, lol.
But I made high payouts, even on sub-standard matches. My lowest was 277,000, where I finished like 4th in my 1 st Ambush match. (usually, I have to take 1st to earn that kind of cash)
Of course, I like everyone have ZERO FLIPPIN' IDEA how ISK payouts are determined! |

I'll make it simple
1.Dropships can earn warpoints now, this is huge
2.Counter hacking gives 75 points now, this is also huge, before it gave zero
3.Squad Finder is amazing
4.New tutorial is good I guess
5.Corporation roles are a big deal, it's good they got that done
6.More War point rewards
The onl issue I have really att his point with war points is they don't give you much of your sp. Most of it like 80% you earn for doing nothing still. |

The only improvements I've taken any real notice of are the Squad Finder and the Rendering being fixed (According to CCP). |

Whatever WP you acquire in a match is how much SP you'll earn. The bonus is the time you spent in match alive. Once your bonus is exhausted, you can only acquire 1,000 SP (without booster & they cut off the rest).
WP is more rampant in the game now, but I really did not see a difference in my scores, other people's scores, Orbital increases, or anything.
Grant you, I don't use a scanner, and I don't often play in a squad (but that's all going to change now, which I don't like), and I maybe earned a whopping 15 WP for destroying equipment tonight' however, that could very well be that I'm not in the habit of destroying things like Nanohives. |

I recently was in a skirm and our squad earned 6 orbitals during the match. Equipment destruction scanning and counter hack giving wp's was a big contributor. Course we also all scan whenever we see the orbital notice pop up hoping to get some more wp's also as well as helping to get a well placed orbital. |

to get those payouts you actually have to win the game
winning increases your payout.
generally you also need about 25+ kills from people NOT in militia gear and 2500+ WPs as a baseline to get over 300K
it also depends entirely on who else is on your team and how well THEY do. payout is proportionally givin out based on how well you did in compairison to everyone else on YOUR team.
if you magically got 2000WP more then everyone else on your team your going to have a larger chunk of the payout pie.
my last 5000 WP game ended with just under 500k payout but the next closest person below me had less then 2k |

I agree, but that's simply not always the case.
My highest scoring match that I can remember was 3060 WP, in a skirmish. We won. I had 38 kills. Countless assits. Hacks, team spawns, etc... and I remember getting 289,000 ISK...
Tonight, I scored 2 games of over 300,000 ISK and I had less than 2500 WP, no more than 25 kills. I did win both games though.
I've heard that so many things factor into your payout, but i don't know what's for certain; or not. I can't seem to figure out some consistency. The only thing I do know is, you're place on the team at the end of the game matters. Because I've gone 30/0 2000+ WP etc etc etc, and placed 3rd, so I only got 180,000 ISK in an Objective gamemode. |

im pretty sure the gear you use during a match may also contribute.

Exactly. I heard the more you put on the line, the more you have a chance of earning. But using my 500,000 ISK HAV doesn't seem to follow that rule.
