I'm at the point where I have safely distanced my self-esteem from my play style. I don't get offended by pub stomps and dont really care when my entire team is spawn camped into a loss. I win and I have some fun. I lose and I have some fun. I am in a great corporation. I have access to public and corporate squads whenever I feel like it.
The problem is DUST514 is not all that fun. DUST is very monotonous.
Don't get me wrong. I fall distinctly into the Fan boy class here on the forums. I will play this game until it is no longer supported. I support CCP products and all of their endeavors. I thoroughly expect things to improve and evolve.
I've played nearly every class, and though the nuances are there, there isn't all that much difference. It might take 10 more rounds to kill a heavy, but the militia suit is cheaper and kills just the same. The game modes are pretty much the same -Capture the flag and kill or just Kill. The controls are fine. Though a seasoned mouser will always win in an otherwise equally matched situation. The vehicles, while customizable, are the same too. You engage them all the same way. Might have to reload, might have to get a few friends to equip their swarms to down the DS. It will die all the same.
Surprise but I don't have the solution. I think an mode that would restrict meta level could quiet the tier based QQ. Im pretty sure a PvE mode with campaign support would revive the player base and settle some of the rage quit and Nerf everything threads. I can see that its here, and I don't like that it exists. It being that DUST has gotten boring. |

I agree. new game modes should be there top priority right now. combining ambush and OMS made that problem worse because now we can't choose between the two.
I think Dust514 should implement a Domination MAG style battle next. a superscale skirmish. |

King of the hill.
"Two teams of mercenaries are sent to collect a file from a research station, however the data access point is constantly shifting."
The data points can be a big circular area where your team must hold, but after 1-2 minutes, the point shifts to a new, random location. After one team collects the file, they now have to demolish the central data cluster before the other team gets the file. If both teams collect the file, then it is a draw.
Do it!
PVE could be similar, or could just be a horde mode.
I'm fine with either.
Gimme it all. |
