I did see you have known chat issues with the update. But here are my details...
The recent ps3 patch seemed to have reset my audio settings for the headset. I fixed this, but the audio device setting option for output device says wireless stereo headset but is grayed out. I can turn stereo headset audio extension off, and then wireless stereo headset turns white. I can hear myself through the headset with extension on or off. So I believe my ps3 settings are proper.
But either way, when I go in Dust, I don't see chat bubbles next to anyone's name anymore. I can't hear them and I don't believe they can hear me . All the Dust chat settings seem proper,. Before the dust patch I was up and running just fine in dust voice chat.
Thanks for listening. Any help greatly appreciated. |

Oh...and I forgot to mention I can remove the headset USB from the ps3 and I still don't hear chat. So I'm guessing it's really not a headset problem. :P |

Now I just tried my daughters playstation id on the same ps3 as myself. Voice works just fine in dust (character name is Jac Corbin). But when I try my Wolfgard character voice chat still does not work. So it seems the bug is specific to a dust account since the same hardware and software were used for each dust account.

First the problem is not with SONY or any particular headset supplier.
It is with the voice provider that CCP is using. The top four signals get the voice bubbles, as far as I can tell. Shrugs shoulders.
My problem is that when we have someone making constant noise or has a glitchy mic that is filling the channel with static there is no way to mute That squad member. If the one that is causing the problem has a bubble then you can mute them.
Bubble or not depends on many things. CCP has yet to provide a definitive answer. |

Alas, Egypt, that did not work.
And the Jac character no longer works either. Worked that one time, and no longer works after 5 tries. |
