So, how many heavy HMG users switched over to a Medium Suit + AR / ScrR Combo?

I made the switch literally days after, as I saw heavies becoming less and less effective while relying on more and more support. No word yet from CCP as to them looking at heavies i see. Wonder what will make them take a look at the class? I'm almost positive the number of heavy / HMG users dropped drastically while the number of AR users went up.

It's the most under used thing, and they want to show everyone else they can still get a kill or 2 with it.

The HMG and AR are as deadly as each other, but in different ways. Heavy; Slow and Deadly . Assault; Fast and Accurate.

Yea honestly the Burst HMG is the only one that has that extra punch to be effective. I didn't get chance to use it after AA was introduced, but I assume it's a good gun still.

For me the only real solution to the HMG problems. ****, take my range i choose DPS and roll with med.suit on too open maps. Somehow CCP found a way ( it was difficult, i admit) to nerf the Burst by changing the overheat bonus to the recoil bonus (that Burst dont have in first place) so we can do one less burst on ADV and 2 less on PRO.

LOW shield recharge and a HUGE MELEEE DMG, but since you're slow as a nail and have the scan profile of the Vienna's philharmonic orchestra you cant use it.

For a time we had more people using Plasma cannons than heavy HMG in my corp. Not saying that means much, but it shows me that people had more fun switching to the PlaC than people wanting to switch to HMG.

I gave up my heavy and have been doing very well since then. Until they fix the heavy I will remain with my Thale, AR, and SL.

I've used it 5 times in the last 5 months. amarr logi, smg and laser rifle.
