I thought that was once discussed with (or from?) CCP. Shield that keeps you safe but you cannot shoot out of it either.
I wouldnGÇÖt oppose an idea where needles need a refill, just like ammo or grenades. LetGÇÖs say you have 10/20/30 revives (STD/ADV/PRO) and then you either need a hive or a supply depot.

They don't need to change anything about the game. They just need to give an IQ test before your allowed to play. That would cut the playerbase in half though. Stupid blue dots. |

We already tried call for revive. It confused new players and wasn't implemented clearly. Changes that'll help this system are less UI dicking around on death (slow fade out, slow fade in, death icon buried in a pile of irrelevant map info, stuttering on revival etc.) and immediate access to either pulling the plug on your clone or calling for assistance.
There is no way a refusal option should be added because for all the blueberry incompetence you complain of, you're the one lying on the floor unable to get up. You do not get priority. Die or take your chances. |

Not even near a priority. The only thing it damages is your KDR, which is meaningless. It doesn't cost you extra ISK. It gives their team 50 points but your team 60 so you get closer to an orbital. I mean, it just doesn't make any sense why it'd need to be a priority. If anything, you should argue for the death not to count until you are terminated. But again, not a priority.

Are you tired of being revived only to die within nanoseconds?
Do you feel some players are abusing the nanite injector for WPs?
Then speak your mind now for the revival acceptance.
I want the option to accept the revive. I'm tired of getting revived in a hot zone. Some are genuine in their efforts but others I feel abuse the nanite. I can't see it no other way when I watched a merc dance thru gunfire without firing a shot, revive me, I instantly die and he does it all again for a Groundhog Day revival horror show. And it carries on for another 5 times. I was infuriated!
Sound off mercs!!! The nanite abuse gotta stop!! The accept revival option is the only way!!!
How about the suicide option kills you when you're down instead of waiting for you to select a new spawn point on the map to terminate your clone.

You know, whenever the ignorant speaks, they speak only from their subjective experience. And due to the anonymity, they also like to find the opportunity to ridicule as if their "wisdom", granted enlightenment when none was there. Unfortunately, their stupidity keeps them from seeing the whole picture.
We die in this game. And sometimes, some fool just wishes to revive a downed mercenary just to get 60 WPs. I've watched enemy infantry revive their guys in the middle of a firefight. I laugh and take out the reviver and then the revived. Is he doing it to revive the player for the benefit of team or solely for himself? Even so, his action to revive in a crossfire is not wise and does more to hurt the team than to assist.
So to suggest to my thread, my carefully thought out thread, that my problem lies in the fact that I have died on the battlefield is quite utterly absurd and only reveals your lack of intelligence when dealing with this matter. Reading comprehension goes a long way...and you have failed greatly.

But we aren't talking about my KDR!
Do I have to really explain the ins and outs of this problem?
Okay, the ones who are doing the reviving are assault players mostly. That's wrong from the start. So that means they have the means to only revive. If the assault player has a nanite injector, we can bet our metal asses that isn't to better the team or to help. It's solely because the WPs gained for each revive is equal to a headshot kill.
The average player on Dust is not team oriented. Especially when you're dealing with a bunch of blueberries. So of course, 60 points for a revive is quite tempting be as though many folks die and die alot in New Eden. It's the same mentality that goes into why people put nanohives right next to Supply Depots. Is it to better the team? Yea, you can say yes and give me that "we are working to get a orbital" crap or we can deal with reality and say that mercenaries like to WP hoard. Why else are folks upset about Logi players beating them to the top of the list when they have higher kills? It's all about WPs.
Next thing we need to look at is the clone count and momentum shifts. Every clone count is significant. Of course some gets spoiled and are nothing more than cannon fodder for the reds. The fact remains though, in a close battle, clone count is the leverage that can change the entire game. Why hack objective Alpha when all we need to do is extinguish the rest of their clones before they destroy our MCC? Simple. If guys are reviving in the middle of the firefight, they are essentially helping the other team gain 60 WPs along with what they are gaining. Which in turn, fuels the orbital bombardment run. Which also equals, a decimated team.
Plus the momentum shifts. We all (or at least most) have seen this in college football where one critical play changes the very outcome of the game. Providing a target for the reds to constantly kill while you dance around to revive the downed alley again increases the momentum of the other team. When this comes into play, now you have to fight not only the team but you have to work to destroy their momentum. It's the snowball effect.
So how about that I don't want to give them 50 points for easy deaths? I don't care that some ******* gets 60 WPs for an orbital he might not even obtain on his squad or solo. We are essentially giving the other team momentum and essentially we gave them 6 clones, more or less, to feed off of. In war, you don't give the enemy anything for your own selfish goals.
It does more than damage the KDR and the KDR isn't the reason for this discussion!!
