W.A.R. stands for Weaponized and Ready, which is exactly what you want to be when the opposition tries to catch you off your game. Coming exclusively to the PlayStation Store on 22 October, the DUST 514 W.A.R. Kits pad your arsenal with the most strategically diverse set of packaged fits ever assembled, keeping you one step ahead of the enemy at every turn.
Each W.A.R. Kit contains:
GÇÿWolfmanGÇÖ Assault A/1-Series - Assembled in honor of the Empress, this dual-tank fit poses a formidable threat to those who would oppose Her will.
GÇÿRattatiGÇÖ Assault G/1-Series - Few will survive an encounter with this hard-hitting, damage augmented fit.
GÇÿTigrisGÇÖ Sentinel A-I - An anti-vehicle fit well-suited to up-and-coming forge gunners.
GÇÿRemnant IXGÇÖ Logistics mk.0 - A lynchpin fit optimized for squad support and battlefield control that is proudly Minmatar.
GÇÿFoxFourGÇÖ Assault G-I - A tactical suppression fit customized for chokepoint control and area denial.
GÇÿLogicloopGÇÖ Scout M-I - Designed to eliminate threats quickly and quietly, this is the perfect fit for beginner battlefield assassins.
GÇÿGrayscaleGÇÖ Saga Light Assault Vehicle - A fast, mobile observation platform for gathering and disseminating battlefield intelligence.
GÇÿNullarborGÇÖ Myron Dropship - Purpose-built for rapid troop deployment behind enemy lines, this is the ideal fit for those who thrive in the hot zone.
Heavy damage, crowd control, close quarter combat, area denial... whatever attack or counterattack you're planning, there's a suit or vehicle ready for you to gear up and go. Three tiers of the W.A.R. Kit are available, each with an additional suit exclusive to that package.
W.A.R. Kit 'Hoplon' readies you with 45 copies of everything above, plus the GÇÿFlying ScotsmanGÇÖ Assault ck.0. Optimized for shield regeneration, this assault suit is as resilient as the Caldari people who created it.
W.A.R. Kit 'Hetairos' packs your hangar with 100 copies of everything above, plus the GÇÿPraetorian VIIGÇÖ Madrugar, a raw, deadly combination of speed and up-close damage makes this fit an undeniable threat on the battlefield.
W.A.R. Kit 'Sparta' is for the mercenary dead set on putting the term 'immortal' to the test, with 300 copies of everything above, plus the legendary GÇÿHellmarGÇÖ Sentinel ak.0 suit. Built from the ground-up to serve the glory of the Empire, the Hellmar is the ultimate suppression and crowd control fit.

NEO proto only requires level 3. Proto requires level 5. I think that was the point of the question. I would also like to know the answer. |

Well, current featured fits do not require skills to use - so if we're going that route with proto gear than it's definitely a red flag. |

Can you please post the contents of the fits? Players deserve to see what they're actually getting for their money before they make a purchase. All we have are the base suit and vague description, and graphics that we have to deduce are images of each of the fits (though even this is unclear.)
I'm not sure if the novelty here is the special colors of the suit or the fact that they come pre-fitted, but in either case this information should be part of the announcement so everyone can see the cool suit colors or check out how good the fit is before they buy. We have no idea if the fit is good or bad at this point.....its forcing players to pay and guess and find out later. All store offerings should contain clear images of the cosmetics of the gear as well as the exact fit, not just this one. This is an ongoing problem with store offerings I hope we can end before the next set is announced.
Apologies if this information is posted elsewhere, otherwise I'm looking forward to seeing / reading more once its posted. I may even purchase a pack if I like what I see!
Thanks in advance for the update. o7 |

True not very appealing for veteran players, but then again, I don't think they are meant to be. I think these are meant to help entice new players and for them there is a lot of value in the Kits. Gives them a look at a lot of different possibilities before deciding on their skill progression. Also will show them that the suit doesn't make the player since I am pretty sure they will still get owned in Advanced and Proto fittings if they are not smart about their gameplay.
The price points are a bit high for perishable items. I think if you reduced them by 50% there would be a better rate of sale/profit based on quantity. $10, $25 and $50 seems way more reasonable. If it is about getting people into the game, then drop the price.

These kits you have been selling are just bad ideas. No one needs every kind of anything they focus on 1-2 things. Especially if the want to be any good. So anyone who would buy this will have no use for most of the stuff in these packs you keep trying to sell. Stop selling specialized sets. Stop focusing on broad range packs of overpriced stuff most of which have items no ppl will ever use all of.

Thunderous "meh". Unless you are a suit-***** and have lots of race-fit skills, and thus no other kind of skills, why would you want all of those? I get that you can assign specific things to specific characters now from every package (like Aerial Assault, one set of dropships to one and the other set to another), but come on. Random high-level suits?
You need to think about usage. Offer one set for each race. I'm not going drop $100 to get tons of things I can't and might not ever get to use. I *might* spend that ca$h moneyz for a Gallente set... guns, slot-items, vehicles and suit cascades, because if I am learning Gallente suits I'll have something to look forward to or whatever. But the day my Gallente-spec character needs a high-level Caldari suit... C'mon.
And yeah, how about some details. Speaking of which, how about a "compare" button so you can look at fittings and see the difference between them highlighted. There's a lot of data to pick through and no easy way to compare them. |

I'm curious how players are going to go about selling these items on the secondary market. What's an objective isk price-point for a fitted vanity item? |

Did you actually look at the contents? With the exception of the one exclusive per pack it's standard grade stuff. |

it IS free to play, but if YOU choose to spend that sort of cash on gear then be my guest, I would rather play the game and earn there isk counterparts, DUST514 is not pay to win... you wont gain any advantages from aur gear, a part from painting a bulls eye on you back to the nearest merc with good aim |

These packs are of no interest to me.
I'm happy to invest cash in dust but the one pack I did buy (Merc) has been removed.
I'd pay monthly for a pack that gave enough boosters to cover a month.
I'd pay for decent blueprint gear.
I'd maybe even pay for tailored role-specific packs.
/shrug I dunno where CCP market research comes from.

What are the skill requirements for these suits? I'd be tempted just to try out advanced/proto suits that I'll never otherwise use if there are zero requirements. Someone asked upthread but it didn't seem to be answered. |

It's exactly the same as if you were buying aurum stuff (ie 1 tier below) so things like the remnent logi need lvl 3 in quite a few things like armour reps, scan enhances, hives, injectors, repair tools etc. so I would probably just get 1 from the featured fits section if you have a bit of aurum to see if you can use it as is (obviously you can change stuff but if you are buying it why would you want to change it)

It's exactly the same as if you were buying aurum stuff (ie 1 tier below) A few of the WAR kit suits are actually available separately now (not sure how long they've been there) so you can see the prerequisites there. And you're right, they are the same as normal AUR gear, i.e. standard needs no skills, advanced needs standard, proto needs advanced.

I guess technically that's true as you could swap out the modules/equipment, though then you're overpaying in AUR terms. |

It's nice to see those Caldari items in that war kit. NOT!
All I see is the exclusive "Flying turd dropsuit".
Can anyone enlighten me as to why? Plenty of the other racials dropsuits are represented. Curious.

blah, some day this game will have what it takes *note I'm complaining about the lack of an ammar heavy weapon since it would make since it a pack to bunde racial weapons with the race Look at the Lore sir. The Amarrans often send their Minmatar slaves into battle, he is using his racial weapon.
