Taking his first steps into the outside world CJ was immediately blinded by the light, automatically raising his hand in front of his face. Rather than being irritated by his sudden inability to see allowed a crooked smile to grace his lips. It had been a long time since he had last seen the world with real eyes. His profession had allowed him to travel all across the universe, but his view was almost always filtered through the cameras of the dropsuit he was wearing.
Today though was different though. The Gallente mercenary had decided to take a short leave. After allowing a moment for his eyes to adjust the man adjusted the cowboy hat on his head and made his way down the street. He was hungry and he had heard rumors that a merc had gotten their hands on a restaurant. He found the idea intriguing enough to warrant further investigation.
GÇ£AriaGÇÖs Place, at least I can get something to eat. Feels like I haven eaten in forever.GÇ¥ The truth was that he hadnGÇÖt eaten in about 3 hours. In a previous life CJ had taken immense care of his body, making sure he had eaten every few hours to ensure proper nutrition and growth.
CJ strode into the eating establishment like he owned the place; his purple and gold optics scanned the restaurant. The man quickly surveyed the place planning out his exit plan incase something went horribly wrong. Some old habits were never going to change. CJ walked to the back corner of the restaurant and tossed himself into the corner booth, sitting sideways with his back against the wall. He removed the old beat up cowboy hat that adorned his head, putting it right next to him.
The removal of the hat revealed a black hair that was buzzed, what was unusual though was the intricate design tribal design that was shaved into his head. With a crooked smile on his face he started whistling the melody to the blues song that was playing in the background while he waited.

As Maximia confronts Galm CJ slowly stops whistling the melody to the old blues song, the notes simply fade away. A look of curiosity now plays across his face. He pulled himself to the edge of the booth to get a closer look. CJ could not recall having seen a woman so large. She was about a foot taller than he was, and CJ stood at a solid 6GÇÖ6GÇ¥. He continued to watch the confrontation and a snort escaped his lips as he listened to Galm stick his foot further in his mouth. His partner chiming in probably wasnGÇÖt helping things either.
Just as things were starting to get interesting a waiter walked by, CJ made a hand motion to call him over. GÇ£IGÇÖm ready to order,GÇ¥ The Gallente had not bothered to look at the menu. GÇ£I will haveGǪ two grilled chicken breasts, a dozen egg whitesGǪscrambled please, a whole tomato cut into slices, no bread, thank you.GÇ¥ CJ looked up to see that the waiter had written down the order but looked like he wanted to say something. The kid was young and nervous he was probably new. Or worse, it might he his first day. CJ handed the boy his menu and watched as he went back towards the kitchen scratching his head.
The mercenary slid back in the booth, legs propped up on the end of the bench. Due to his size his feet were hanging off the edge. Leaning back against the wall he made himself comfortable and watched, his purple and gold optics watching the comedy of errors as it unfolded.

As Maximia is about to open her mouth to respond to Galm, she suddenly finds her self interrupted by Aztek. She then looks at them, trying to interject into their conversation with a growing annoyance and a dying anger. She then stops listenning to them and sighs, looking into blank space and relaxing a bit. he probably has a nice house....he really probably has one....Hrm....I got other people. She then sighs and interrupts their conversation, rubbing her eyes before she speaks, "I just wanted to say your arrogance and pride isn't simply 'done', it's 'proven'," She then looks down at Galm and makes a forgiving smirk, "I'm too busy to deal with people in a fist fight right now."
She then reaches into her pocket and pulls some isk out while pulling a hand out from his side or wherever it currently is.
"here," She plops a couple isk into his hand and walks away, "Have a drink on me."
She then walks over to her booth and takes a seat, sighing and openning her neocom to get Demel to come over. She signals the slightly shaking waitress for her food as she brings her plate with fearful hands.
CJ quietly sucked air through his teeth and clicked his tongue, slightly upset that things had died down so quickly. Although he did have to hand it to the women she had handled it well. Paying for the manGÇÖs drink was a nice touch too. The mercenary chuckled to himself before returned to whistling the melody to the song playing on the jukebox.
A few moments later his food arrived. The waiter placed the dish down and asked if he needed anything else.
GÇ£Thanks,GÇ¥ CJ pulled a few large bills out of his pocket. GÇ£IGÇÖll be covering the ladies bill,GÇ¥ He nodded towards Maximia. GÇ£Just donGÇÖt let her know who paid for it.GÇ¥ The waiter nodded his understanding before moving on to take care of the other customers.
Finally sitting up right CJ unrolled his napkin, placing it in his lap before he started eating. As he ate he pulled up his neocom. There were a number of messages for him most were business propositions. There seemed to be no shortage of work for someone who could take a few dozen bullets and get back up.
While there was no shortage of work the matter of finding interesting jobs was another. Most of the jobs were simple security jobs, albeit very dangerous jobs they were all mostly the same. A couple of them would be assassination requests from some midlevel businessman or politician that had knew someone who could contact him. Unless something interesting showed up quickly he was most likely to take one of the jobs out in low-sec space, the closer to null the better he got paid. Concord and local law enforcement was also easier to deal with out there. Lackadaisically he continued to scroll through the offers, hoping something would jump out at him.

Maximia Beflas wrote: She raises her hand for the waiter to come over, and asks for the rest to be put into a box.
"Garcon?" She says in a perfect french-like accent. The waiter turns around, being of Matari blood and knowing Matari language, "Yes?" "How do I pay?" She says pointing towards the food in the box. "Your covered." "....what?" "Your...covered...somebody paid for you..." "...what?" The waiter sighs and walks away, knowing that if she get some time she'll understand.
Maximia sits there, slightly confused and then looks around the restaurant and bites her lip. how'd pay for me?. She then comes to a realization and her eyes go wide with a hint of a grin Maybe it's that Amarrian..... She blushes a little and then stops, blinking a bit, realizing that he had not even dined at the restaurant, simply came...and left. She then sighs disappointed and looks around. I have a stalker..... Paranoia rushes through her and she quickly grabs her food and leaves the restaurant in a quick pace, headed for the door.
Out of the corner of his eye CJ watched MaximiaGÇÖs reaction to discovering that her bill was paid. He was quite amused by her reaction, watching the emotions on her face as she tried to figure out who it was. Her sudden and hasty departure brought a small smile to his face. The mercenary had not expected her to rush out the door so quickly, but it did provide him with a moment of amusement.
It amazed him that some people just couldnGÇÖt turn off that part of their brain; they were always in a combat zone, or scanning for threats. Honestly he found himself doing similar things at times, but he had managed to at least enjoy himself. He was freaking immortal, he might as well act like it. Slowly he shook his head a few times and chuckled to himself, at least his breakfast wasnGÇÖt completely boring. Slowly and methodically he continued to eat as he scrolled through more job offers, all the while he continued to watch and listen to the other patrons. People watching was a fun, and sometimes informative way to pass the time.

Jonny D Buelle wrote:Jonny wakes up suddenly from his drunken slumber screaming 'DIE SCUM DIE!' He then looks around and regains his sense quickly. He clears his throat and motions for the cute waitress that was serving him to come over. When she arrived, Jonny quickly ordered 3 more beers and a cheeseburger, creamy chicken pasta, and chili fries.
A quick survey of the room and Jonny wasn't really impressed with the new patrons that had walked in since he passed out. He didn't care that much for most people these days, expect for the occasional Matari Woman, especially ones from the Brutor tribe.
When the drunkard awoke from his alcohol induced slumber screaming CJ reacted similarly to another patron. Unlike the other man CJ was not quite so aggressive. Instead of pulling a gun a 6GÇ¥ serrated combat knife suddenly appeared in his freehand. He had reacted reflexively, his body moved before his brain could even process what the man was yelling.
A moment later his brain caught up and he realized that he was not in any serious danger. It was just some drunken fool screaming in his sleep. The knife he was holding in his free hand vanished, as if it was never there. CJ could only shake his head. Not for the alcoholic at the bar but for his own actions. Even though he was supposedly immortal he still reacted like he was human. Considering the nature of his chosen profession though he didnGÇÖt mind it. The knife was replaced with a half empty glass of water.
CJ continued to absentmindedly eat and read the information scrolling by on his neocom. It was mind numbingly boring, but it did serve to pass the time, which considering recent events he had more than he ever needed.
The mercenary allowed his mind to wander, creating entire lives for the other patrons in his head. It was another bad habit of his that he had formed as a kid. Growing up on a farm you found yourself with a lot of alone time. Besides what was the fun of people watching if you couldnGÇÖt create ridiculous histories about the people you were observing.
