My cheap light suit has around 34 profile
1st match run 500m run ADV scanner pick up blaster turret, poke my nose over the hill and dead unmanned turret nails me I know this can happen as I've tested it before but should this happen?
Respawn run the 500m again to same turret poke nose over hill it starts firing on me again no active scanner it just opened up on me. This doesn't seem right?
2nd Match same suit , parallel run past 3 medium suits who don't see me, ran straight behind a heavy within touching distance who's running for a red blaster turret and again when we're getting close to the damn turret unmanned it opens up on me again This does'nt seem right?
Neither of these 3 occasions was I scanned although in that 2nd match I did have a couple of scan prevented notifications.
1st issue has happened since active scanner release, other 2 only happened since yesterday
Has anyone else experienced freaky turret shooting again? I know they upped the accuracy but we all know about that one |

As far as I know, turret AI does not consider your scan profile when determining if they see you or not. They either can see you through walls and nail head shots like no other or they can't see anything and couldn't hit the broadside of a fatty. |

I would of thought the ability of an automated system to see a threat would surely be sensor based and therefore scan res would be key.
Also doesn't explain why I could run unmimpeeded toward any turret even if the turret was physically turning in my direction prior to this for a good few weeks (since getting enh prof damps) and hack it with it never seeing me |

Its visual based, if it looks your way, it'll most likely lock on. It also has team vision share so if you attack an enemy or the turret itself or if you're spotted by the enemy, it'll lock on to the attacker. Vehicles are tracked from a further distance.
It does have it's own passive sensor that relays your position to the other team when you approach it but I dont think you can cover your tracks with dampeners. |
