I wouldn't have RELEASED a game full of bugs, glitches, balance issues and with a massive lack of content in the 1st place ... The fact is once a game has been released all they should need to do is add new content from time to time .. The simple fact is this .. it has been a long long time since the 1st day of BETA ... all the bugs glitches and balance issues should have been sorted out long ago ... the reason people are asking for new stuff is because they have had the same basic stuff for over a year now and this game is missing a huge amount of content that was promised pre BETA ...
Everyone bar the odd moron is getting pretty tired of every single update being some sort of fix to a problem that should have been dealt with ages ago ..
Your Fanboi logic .. CCP are doing a great job fixing all the problems in the game
Reality .. CCP have done a terrible job with this game so far ... because this is a released game all they should be doing now is releasing new content, they shouldn't be trying to fix the basics .... Yes they HAVE to fix the basics but just because they are trying to do that doesn't mean they are doing a good job ...
Did u have make such a long post explaining u have no idea what goes into game development. A simple taking to long fix would have done the trick
TL;DR Obviously it wasn't long enough as you completely missed my point anyway lol .... I'm not saying it's taking too long to fix, i'm saying it shouldn't need fixing at all !!!!! We aren't in Closed BETA now kiddo (skip to the bottom of the post for the summary)
Game Development stages (Because you seem to be reading a bible version of game development whereas I use the scientific definitions) which are:-
Alpha Testing or just Alpha GÇô Alpha testing is an early stage of testing of a game. ItGÇÖs usually done after a game just finishes being developed. ItGÇÖs very common for games to be unstable in this stage, as the purpose of alpha testing is to iron out the GÇ£obviousGÇ¥ bugs and glitches. Developers usually conduct Alpha testing internally, meaning gamers will not get a chance to try the game out. Game developers do this because they donGÇÖt want people seeing the game until its further developed.
Closed Beta or Close Beta GÇô This stage of testing usually comes right after all the problems discovered in Alpha testing are fixed. The length of closed beta testing really varies from game to game. Some games go through numerous stages of closed beta testing titled GÇ£Closed Beta 2GÇ¥, GÇ£Closed Beta 3GÇ¥, GÇ£Closed Beta 4GÇ¥ and so on. As the name implies, this stage of testing is still GÇ£closedGÇ¥ from the public, but is much more extensive than Alpha Testing. Gamers can usually GÇ£applyGÇ¥ for Closed Beta testing, as developers want gamers to GÇ£try outGÇ¥ their game and report any newly discovered bugs to them. ThereGÇÖs no way all of a gameGÇÖs issues can be discovered in Alpha testing, as only a handful of people are trying out the game and looking for bugs. Closed beta on the other hand, is usually open to many more people. Sometimes hundreds sometimes thousands. Since this is a non-public beta test, most of the time characters created during closed beta will be wiped. This means all characters will be deleted when closed beta testing ends. This is not always the case, but is the norm.
Open Beta GÇô For all intents and purposes, Open Beta means the MMORPG / MMO is released and available to the public. Anyone can register and download the game. In 95%+ of cases, there arenGÇÖt any more GÇ£character wipesGÇ¥ after open beta, so if you create your character in open beta, you will most likely still have it after the game fully launches. Open Beta is still considering beta testing, but almost all of the bugs / problems with the game have already been worked out. Developers usually focus on enhancing the game by adding new features during open beta rather than fixing bugs, but users are still encourage to submit any bugs they discover during Open Beta.
Commercial Release GÇô The game is fully released and is no longer in any testing stages. Developers focus on expanding the gameGÇÖs features and content instead of hunting for bugs to fix. Like in open beta, anyone can register and begin playing the game right away.TL;DR Please note that this game is in the stage which is in bold and underlined and even if im being kind and say that we are in some form of open beta CCP are currently spending all their time fixing bugs and glitches .. this should have been done during closed beta .. I have never seen any game developer rebuild an entire matchmaking system from the ground up after it's been released .. hell they don;t even do that in closed BETA lol
