Conversely some militia districts with a high turn over rate due to having a lower clone cap and such |

Mhm basically, so it gives some incentive on what you are trying to grab.
If your a bottom feeder corp then go after the mlt districts, no one probably wants them.
If your 1337 go after the sexy officer ones. Right now a district is a district really. |

Why not have varying districts on planets.
Outposts - Basically the militia districts you describe... not great but give you something Main - The districts we have now Capital - Only one of these per planet and has the best stats.
Sadly, this would make more sense if we had Skirm 1.0 back so the amount of defenses etc would be dependent on what type of district it was. |

If you own the capital it doesnt give you more clones but it gives you a tax on all the other districts on the planet. |

Some difference in district value would be fun. Something along the lines of the special resource systems found in strategy games. A research lab on a "silicon valley/area 51/manhatten project" type special district creating small amounts of officer/aur weapons/vehicles each day would be awesome.

In an ideal world the value of a district would be influenced by the amount of people living in cities inside said district and raw material deposits. perpetual war = many civilians killed = less work done = less clones/hour or any other way of gathering resources. Rendering them 'undesirable' till war on the surface calms down and population can regrow and rebuild. The longer something doesn't get attacked, the higher the reward will be for would be conquerors.
Your idea is interesting, but I don't think it should require some OP defender mechanic, as the strongest corp would want to hold the most valuable districts? |

These are nice ideas. Better than districts having tiers... sheesh, has the current tier system taught us nothing? |

I support the longer the district is undisturbed, the more profitable it becomes thus the more desirable it is to attack.
I also support districts giving out various rewards. Some give out ISK, some produce officer equipment, some produce officer weapons, some produce officer vehicles. Would need corporation hangers/storage first. |
