People complain about not having time in the warbarge anymore, I mean seriously you do nothing, you walk around, try to trap blueberries, gawk at ladymercs (or manlymercs *cough*gallente*coughcough*) and that's it. Take a hint, players like having something else to do besides shoot people, let us chill in our spaces with other people, turn that holo-table in the warbarge into a ping pong table, something lol. Shooting mercs and doing laps in our apartments only goes so far |

Yeah I'd rather not switch to a different game just to do something silly in the game lol. Besides all of these MMORPGs (which this claims to be) has something else to do besides combat, when I was playing the FF14 beta I used about 20% of my time fighting. |

Have been said before, many times if recall correctly. Expect this type of responses ;

I don't see why it would be a bad thing, It just adds another element to the game for people to complain about, after all dustbunnies love to complain about things don't we? lol |

I wouldn't sniffily dismiss this kind of thinking just because you don't like. It doesn't mean it wouldn't be a potential draw for some types of players. More players = healthy Dust.
If people enjoy the social space, chances are they are going to give the shooty side a go. Thats more players in game.
This is why I think its silly of CCP to obsess (as they seem to have suggestedin the most recent fanfest) over keeping Dust a pure FPS.
Crafting, industry, economic, social spaces and open world mechanics will draw people to the game. Every person that comes for one of the wierd out-of-the-box features will try the gun game. Just think how many people joined eve to mine or mission ended up hardcore null sec pvp elite. A fair few, including many of the old guard, who played eve like a one man version of homeworld. If the Dust devs could bottle that, and resell it with a Dust lable.
Victory.

Yeah I've seen the battlefeed and the 3D sitrep coming out of the table, problem is the matches aren't big enough to facilitate having a person stay in the warbarge co-ordinating the battle. So might as well set up a net :) |

Is a EvE thing... they don't like it when CCP spends to much time doing FUN things, it have to be all serious business.
Even that the most likely scenario, is that a COMPLETELY different department does stuff like that. I seriously doubt that they have every single employee in CCP working in animations for walking in Stations. |

What he said, as a game enthusiast I would definitely suggest playing other games and not to stick to the same one all of the time, but that's just because in other games you get different experiences and a wide foundation just supports overall gaming experience. However there's no reason that a single game can't give you multiple different types of experiences. |

People like seeing who they are going up against. especially with such a small player base that you can recognize people most of the time on the other side. |

Boooooooring, and yeah having everyone focus on tiny fixes on irrelevant things is probably counter productive, but people are asking for new guns and vehicles, how is that different? In my mind they're asking so they have something new to do, a change from running and gunning with a boring standard assault rifle. They should get all of the necessary things they have promised first but that doesn't make taking a break from conflict any less important. |

I think I know where this is going...poles coming out of the table? Is this why the damn thing doesn't function, was there just too much partying? |

Actually I like the small amount of time in the War barge to look at the sides and my team and try to figure out who to Squad with. It's also cool to see some of the different suits that are in game there as well.
But it's the squad thing I liked best.

My warbarge time was spent sizing up the teams and looking for pubstomp squads. At least when I left the match, there was time to fill my spot before the boots hit the ground. |

I liked it because it gave off a chance for some of us beta vets to show off our limited suits, as well as everyone to chat a bit long enough to make squads if needed.
Also... We may spent almost no time in the warbarge now, but Scotty the Matchmaker has more then made up for that in his usual "Estimated 5 seconds reality 50 seconds" shenanigans. |
