Does anyone have issues with this? Every so often ( at the very least once per game time) in the middle of battle everything drops. I lose comms, everyone on the map starts moving only in the direction they were headed, like serious lag. But I'm used to that, seems like an inherent trait of dust. It hasn't been until recently though that every time this spike happens it will lag for a few seconds then once the lag stops about 2 seconds later it hard locks my ps3, every time. It used to be rarely that my ps3 locked up in game but now it happens like i said pretty much at least once every time I play. Anyone experience the same or have any suggestions? |

Has anyone tried anything that might help remedy this problem? What if this happens once and my ps3 doesn't turn on again? I'm more worried about my console than anything else. |

I had it really bad one weekend. Rebooting my Router caused m lag to go back to normal. |

Tried it. Hell now before I even play I reset my modem and my router but all it seems to do is delay the inevitable. |

Not to troll, but I haven't had such bad lagg in the longest time, at least since I moved to my own house. I have my own internet now with just my PS3 running over the network.
If you live with other people make sure they are not watching Netflix (really kills lagg, my family members would do this all day long and it'd kill my game). That or if they are on the AT&T UVERSE internet, that lagg will come when people are watching TV. For those that disagree with me. Shut all your TV Boxes off (so they are not recording movies) then play a game and notice the huge difference.
Try doing these things in your house first... |

Just me and my GF in the house. I'm not completely blaming CCP for this problem here, I do have a few latency issues with my ISP but I don't lag on any other game besides dust. I used to rent a house next door to my mom and there would be 5 users on the network at any time with no issues whatsoever and dust was still the only online game I would lag on. I've tried everything... |

You actually want to hinder your connection. While you're in match, have something else substantial use your bandwidth, like a steam, long YouTube video, a download running, etc. You're PS3 is built to compensate when needed. It's called 2-barring. |

Try using a Lan cable instead of wireless, i know for a fact that the PS3 connection is a bit unstable when using wireless. |

I am using a cat5 ethernet cable wired directly to the router. |

LSOD aka lag spike of doom isn't that in the Skill Tree?
Have you noticed it when people do scans? My thought is 16 people can now see 16 red dots and that causes it. So, that is 16x16 new things being tracked all of the sudden. I will try to notice it more often. Of course, I do not have a scanner to try myself. Oh well..... |
