The way I understand it is that the battle will appear in other contracts under the battle finder for registered people only, so no one who is not registered can join (weather some one pulls in an unregistered or not is another matter) so say for example my corp has a team in it will be open to the guys who have registered on ESL but the rest of our corp wont be able to join. |

Salvage, yes Isk, no Eh, so if playing 5 rounds, dying on average 10 times each match in a 200k suit means you will spend about 10 million ISK on the tourney. The winner gets 15 million ISK, which would only mean a 5 million ISK reward as you spent the other 10 on the tourney.
What salvage system will be used though? The system used in pubs, or the one used in PC? If it's the system used in PC it might reduce the ISK loss in the matches a fair bit, but you'll still lose a good amount of ISK on the tourney.
Personally I couldn't care less about ISK, but to me it just isn't right that a tourney winner walks away with such a small amount.
About the prizes in general, I still think they're very lackluster and they're certainly not a reason for why I'm participating in the tourney. I know you guys keep saying that it's a small tourney and that there will be bigger tourneys with bigger prizes in the futture, but this is a tourney after all and I just feel that there should be prizes to follow a proper tourney.
Personally I think the rewards should be more like: 50 copies of 1 officer weapon of choice OR 15 copies of 3 officer weapons of choice. 50 or 100 million ISK. 30 Quafe suits (as it already is. I feel this one is probably fine, maybe an increase to 50 suits wouldn't hurt though).
These prizes would be more worthwhile and actually fitting for even a winner of a small tourney.
All of this is just my own opinion of course. |

Clarification please Tech or Logi.
The CSL website says 8v8 cup, but Logi's original post says you may field 6 at any one time.
Which is it? 8v8 or 6v6?
Cheers. |

Salvage is the same as PC matches, so based upon items that drop.

As we got bumped to the 2nd round at 20:00 UTC our team Tech Guard Alpha ( i assume ) will only start playing on Impact Ridge, correct? And as a sidenote, on the ESL website my first match shows as 21:00 (ESL is wrong?)

Shows 20:00 for me, is your site clock (top right) displaying GMT?
If you click on the clock to change timezone, then find "Atlantic/Reykjavik", it will show the times in UTC

Yes, you will start on Impact Ridge.
Time on the ESL site for me is showing 20:00. You might want to check your time zone settings on the site.

Thank you! That did the trick, but i did enter my location as Portugal on my profile so i assumed the clock would be correct and adjusted because of that, alas it wasnt, for some reason it was in Europe/Berlin.

As a matter of fact I have 25 of those bad boys. From the first tournament where imperfects and SI were the final two. It cam with a whole complement of Balachs gear - rifles, SMG, dropsuits, sniper rifles, etc. |

Looks like Oceania players get thrown under the bus again. Had our first match and my squad was lagging like it was an EU server. Rubber banding and the hit detection went out the window. Trying to compete like that is bullshit. I understand that an Oceania only tournament would have like 2 teams but if you're going to put us with Asia at least make it an Asian server. |

All the Asia/Pacific matches are being run on the Asia servers. However some ISPs route packets to Asia via the US, so that might be why you have a higher ping.

That's what I expected but I get far less lag in Asia pubs and PC than I did in that match. When you put half a Duvolle clip into a guy that has not even 50 armour left and he takes no damage, kills you with 2 shots when you have full armour then takes your mate another half a Duvolle clip to kill 50 bloody armour something isn't right.
I'd like to see some more love from CCP for Oceania. Everyone already uses our server to test or go AFK on, forcing us to fight through lag on another server if we want a good game and I'm extremely disappointed we weren't provided a fair shot at an official tournament.
Regardless, I don't want to take away from Die Valkyrja's victory. Hats off and good luck to 'em. |

the 5min rule is 5 minutes after the scheduled start time (so xx:05), not 5 minutes after the warbarge opens (which is 10 minutes before scheduled start time).
