As a director I've noticed these problems:
- When viewing roles directors can grant other people director roles
- When filtering roles the 2 tactical roles (i forgot the names) do not appear, they look like "No MessageID: 290368" etc.
- When you filter roles it immediately opens up a text window to start typing when all I want to do is scroll through the roles to filter.
Come on CCP, these things could have been avoided if one simply went through the menu, EVEN ONE TIME, to check if they were working properly... JUST ONE TIME... |

There's also a No MessageID123456790 when viewing featured fits on the market.
And it's not a lack of effort on CCP's part that these bugs appear, sometimes errors pop up which didn't exist on their internal test build, you never know what happens when you publish a patch. |

The point of having a test server is to test these out. I'm not sure how these just pop up out of no where. |

Do you even debug bro? Things can look fine and then all of a sudden everything freaks out. |

As an IT professional, I can attest to this.
There have been several times where I have tested the heck out of something and it works fine, then I push it live, and *BOOM* things go terribly wrong.
Live environments have quirks that a clean test area will never have due to the sheer amount of data available in the live setting.

Seriously.... I write code for a living in a research group. Of course I debug, every day! When I look at the code, it either works as intended or it doesn't! When you look at what's in game, it's blatantly obvious it doesn't work! It's so obvious it screams at you saying "I'm broken". |

- We are looking into this now with a very high priority.
- This is a known issue and will be fixed with downtime tomorrow.
- I will add this to our review to look at later, but it will be a low priority. Need to get the problems from today fixed first. :)

FYI if you press triangle to show info on the message id named roles, it tells you what they are. The rightmost is the logistics officer, second from the right is the TCO. |

The argument that things go wrong in the live environment that did not happen in the dev environment although factually true is no real excuse and should never occur with such frequency as they seem to. New features should be tested before the servers are opened up to the player base and issues fixed if able or rolled back if unable to based on the degree of impact to the client base.
I agree with Cenex completely that their current release process clearly shows a missing piece in the rollout cycle that needs to be addressed. What that piece is could be argued, but lets be honest there are clearly BIG issues with every release having major issues. I'm sure the dev team is as frustrated as us. Let's blame the QA team :) |

My problem with the corp rolls is that they are not sweet enough, I like my corp roll filled with jam.
Seriously though you could have added the roles when they actually have use and given us more weapons or suits, right now the corp roles are little more than liabilities, although you may trust someone it is still a liability not worth having to worry about. |

Let's blame the QA team :) You're absolutely right Ares, it would make sense to leave the server offline for say 30mins to 3 hours depending on what got broken wouldn't it? How about instead of griping about it later on, those of us who want to be guinea pigs for CCP sign up for a Beta Patch test group to figure out what works and what doesn't just like old times. I'm sure the old test server is still up and running with Eve Content and it wouldn't be hard for them to put out a Beta Patch Client that only connects to that server. |

Thing is Sony has been really firm on not allowing a test server under any circumstance, CCP has already been given much leeway with a third party VoIP and their own server. While it would certainly benefit everyone, a test server simply isn't possible for DUST. And besides, no matter how much you test, do QA and look every line of code through three times, there's always going to be some bugs when the patch goes public. Give them some slack. |

Wait you want them to design a game and actually test it too.
