As above. Would like a way to display Medals both publicly and privately. Have it cost an arm and a leg...or an idiom more appropriate for persons with an unlimited quantity of arms and legs. Customizable, preferably more so than the Corp crest. Title locked to the Corp upon creation. That no one may replicate it. An appeal system. If another corp attempts to counterfeit, the GMs may award ownership of the medal to whom they agree with and remove the other. |

I like the idea, but I wonder about the counterfeiting policy. New Eden is known for being a sandbox with the ability to engage in scams, intrigue, and espionage. Maybe the medal's design and name should be able to be whatever, but it has a tag when you view info saying what corporation awarded it.
That way, if someone was trying to insert a spy to a corp with a medal to improve their chances of getting in, such as a Dust Uni Graduate Medal; their recruiting officers can check if it is actually from Dust University. If they are lazy, however, it could possibly pass for a legitimate medal.
For example, PIE Inc. wants to plant some one in Eon and they want the spy to look like a clean character that is relatively new to the game, so they give him a false medal or two (a graduation and maybe a special service medal) for a training corp and he temporarily hides or gives back his medals. He applies and then the recruiters see pictures of a medal or two with a name next to it in his application.
There are a few possibilities. They check the medals and see it is a fake (having an entry saying it is from PIE Inc.). They for whatever reason don't check the medals and he is accepted. They see the picture of the medal and notice the details are wrong (any counterfeits would have to be manually copied using the same tools to create a legitimate medal, except the counterfeit would have to be as exactly similiar to the real one as possible) and they reject the app. Or PIE Inc. completely makes up the medal's appearance as they have no clue what the legit one is like, they have to completely bs it; but the Eon's recruiters don't have anymore idea than PIE Inc. does of what they should look like and they do not view the medal's info (they are busy or something) and it passes and the spy gets in.
Finally, why should it cost much a lot though? I have no problem with it costing something, but too much and the feature might be underused. Obviously if it is too cheap, then the reverse will happen. |

We honour our foes by fighting them in plain sight. The Empire needs not skulk and hide in the shadows and neither do we \ (( I get what you are saying and liked the example)) Also a spy like this could just create another alt corp and go through that by attaching itself to another alliance so as not to show up like that.... I don't meta game but I am pretty clever like that. |
