So it appears that 'faction boosters' are turning up, and in four distinct flavours, one for each of the factions.
What could these be for?
I thought of the following possibilities:
1) They're AUR LP boosters, and you'll get more LP when using them.
2) They're AUR standings boosters.
Of these, I'm leaning towards 2. SoxFour has mentioned a standings system a number of times as well as some FW changes this year. I did think that they might possibly be rewards, but I doubt this one - it would reduce cashflow, as well as the boosters being oddly specific
Thoughts? What do you think the most likely use is? |

Anyways, obviously I'm barred from participating in any speculation, but I will say I'm super interested to see what people's opinions are on the various possibilities (positive OR negative). I'll be keeping an eye on this thread for sure. |

I seem to remember a bunch of different heavy suit variations turning up on the theoretical market several months ago. I wouldn't get your hopes up for new content any time soon tbqh, especially content that takes away cashflow for the company; and definitely not directly after they took away all the anti-cashflow bpos that weren't relegated to the incredibly expensive psn packs.
Maybe they're rewards that you get that you have to pay a fractional amount of aur to their normal counterparts to use. 'Course with the way Shanghai's been handling the game, it's good to note here that 99/100 is still a fraction.... |

Yeah my first thought was this, play a ton of FW, get a free 1 day booster. Doing this would probably funnel a ton of people into FW and keep them loyal to one side (thus the different faction boosters). Though, I imagine the LP cost would be huge.
Sort of how you can buy Plex in EVE with ISK or with real world money. |

There are things called recruit boosters, but that doesn't means they actually boost your recruit speed.
There's also things called active boosters, but they don't boost your activeness.
Pretty sure they're just boosters you get from FW...but then again CCP has said in the past that having boosters as rewards keeps the money from coming in.
Either that, or they're larger boosters (2x boost instead of 1.5x) that only boost your sp gain while playing Faction Warfare. |
