If it isn't instantly to your satisfaction give it a bit of time to unwind. Then step back, reevaluate it, and only then feel like you have the place to come in and give your opinion. Nostradamus' 'Prophecies'-Century V- v. 90
Quote:Dans les cyclades en Perinthe & Larisse, Dedans Sparte tout le Pelloponesse; Si grand famine, peste, par faux connisse, Neuf mois tiendra & tout le cherrouesse.
In the Cyclades, in Perinthus and Larissa, In Sparta and the entire Pelopennesus: Very great famine, plague through false dust, Nine months will it last and throughout the entire peninsula.
Interpretation: In the Cyclades, in Perinthus and Larissa...and the entire Pelopennesus: These are a set of ancient networked cities and regions. They represent the internet to the extent that they were economically, industrially, and governmentally linked. These were cultural world centers at the time of Nos' writing.
Very great famine, plague through false dust, 'false dust' could be a time referring to before the game is more or less complete. Perhaps the open beta, or the incomplete 'released' game. Regardless, the 'time of famine and plague' represents a lowpoint for the game.
Nine months will it last and throughout the entire peninsula This is the most forboding line. Exactly when the nine months begins is hotly debated amongst scholars. Depending on your view of the beginning of the period of the 'false dust' is when you start counting the months of famine and plague (low player rates and bugginess). 'Open Beta' began on 22/01/2013 making the nine month mark approximately 22/10/2013. However, if the time of the 'false dust' begins on the day of release 13/05/2013 then we have some more time of famine and plague before us.
Alternatively, the 'nine months' itself could be a metaphor for a less certain period of time during which a fetus grows into a newborn child that then comes into the dangerous and hostile world in which it must survive. Perhaps Nos' is referring to Dust in this way.
