Both are ruined by OBs, in my opinion. When it's a really hard battle, in the second half of the match you'll often repeatedly die on spawn to OBs. The only way around that is to be a scrub and stay away from the fighting. Cheapens the whole experience IMO. Spine Crescent is also sniper and tanker paradise. So yes, it needs more cover in general. As Azri says, Border Gulch is much better in that regard.
