Thanks for looking at this issue.
My wife and I like to game together and like co-op games.
IGÇÖve finally, by playing and having a blast with my corp, got her interested in playing Dust. She had a BLAST in academy with me and then in Factional thanks to Bugsbunny Looney with his drop ships and tanks driving her around to blow things up).
The Set up: 2 TVGÇÖs, 2 PS3GÇÖs, 2 PS3 Wireless Stereo Headsets, one room, comfy couch.
The problem: As soon as we are both on and have voice chat turned on, we can no longer hear other people in squad or each other across the headsets. Squad members can still hear us.
Note: We have used the same set up for Borderlands 2, where we have played together and with others online and not had this issue.
Tried:
1.Got a hard wire headset, same issue, we both could hear no other person. 2.Turning off one of the voice chats GÇô Voice is resumed for one person, but now the other is left out of chat and we are a Microphone only corporation. 3.Rebuild Data base to clean up the PS3GÇÖs and see if that would help to no avail.
Fixes?

Did you solve it? If so, how? |

If anyone else is having this issue and has more than a single public IP to test on, could you try sending your separate PS3s' traffic out from different IPs? I have a suspicion this is a NAT issue to prevent the same stream from a single IP (presumably to avoid feedback loops). |

I'd assume this is a IP issue. Try sending a ticket to CCP |

I have a suspicion this is a NAT issue to prevent the same stream from a single IP (presumably to avoid feedback loops). If you run a firewall the solution might be reasonably straight forward although not simple. Assuming your ISP allows you to have two IPs* then assign each PS3 their own. This can be accomplished by having the firewall acknowledge both of them via their MAC addresses (hardware based). Next, one PS3 (the default one) will use the normal house IP and the second will use the alternate IP. Everything will work as it did before but the Vox provider will not get confused by having two voice channels from the same IP.
Good Luck.
* Beware that multiple IPs can be a cost issue. Some IPs will charge more for family plan that allows multiple computers to access the internet simultaneously. The normal fix for that is NAT which makes all the systems that access the internet appear as One Computer. This is the most likely reason you are having the problem in DUST versus Borderlands. Borderlands is at most four players and playing in house is not a problem nor would playing two in house with two additional. DUST has a vox provider that limits the bandwidth and the top four get priority (last I heard from CCP/Shanghai). To have two machines on the same IP makes the vox provider get a little confused. |

Quick question; was there ever any sharing of accounts between your and your wife's PS3's?
I had an issue like this with my roommates PS3, where if we both logged on we would have lots of voice issues, and were never able to hear each other.
We solved it, but unfortunately only by formatting the PS3's |

We both logged into the original PS3 until she got her own. Before I try reformatting the PS3, can your roommate and you play Dust and hear each other on the same IP?
thanks, Slow |

sorry for the wait for a reply, I forgot about this thread. Yes me and my roommate can hear each other just fine after we did the format. I know the problems stemmed from me having an account on his ps3 before I got my own.it sounds like you have a very similar issue. Try reformatting the old ps3 first, the one that you both used before you got your own. That alone might do it |

sorry I don't have any better suggestions for you. on the bright side you can use the ps3's backup utilities to retain your saved games. |

Use a network switch. Make sure it's an automatic one. Google it. You will have to hard wire it but works great. You can get 4 port or 6 port ones. Plug your internet cable into the box snd then your ps3 internet cables into the same box and it's like you are both using the same Internet cable. Me and my mates use this set up when 3 of us are at one persons house playing dust514 in the same room. There can be a slight delay in voices but very playable. |

I had this issue too, fix was simple enough.
I stuck a sock in her mouth and told her to get off of me. |
