But it can't be that hard to make it so I don't get stuck on a hill, or stuck in the ground, etc. Really raging about how ******* OP swarms are.

The reason everybody is rocking Proto AV, is due to the radically OP LLAVs, so they maxed AV to fend them off, and now they have them, Tanks are just paper. Interconnectivity.

There are many people out there who won't stop complaining until they are able to drive their tank into the middle of the battle and murder everyone without any fear of dying. I would agree that the scales are somewhat tipped in favor of AV at the moment. But a skilled player is still able to tank very effectively, when the right tactics are used.

I just got into it for fun when im running solo. Bullshit though how quickly I go down without turbo. I think once I get turbo i'd be halfway better off, but still vulnerable to swarms. Guess I could do shield tank with turbo. I'd rather die by a forger than someone with a lockon and no skill, just time put into speccing swarm launchers(:

Sorry man but playing with a tank is much like driving a very expensive european sports car in the USA. Sure you might be able to afford to buy one on a 60k a year sallary but you cant afford the upkeep or god forbid repairs if you get into an accident. Right now with how tanks are and AV is its best to stick to playing with the cheapest DS you can build untill you can bankroll a tank and have multiple millions of isk saved up. I would say conservatively to wait till you have 10mill in the bank before you really start to play with tanks.

Im cursed with a deficiency at proto level.... some mercs have all the luck dont they? Any yeah vehicling is hard as hell, you cannot constantly do it any more unless you are extremely skilled since most players are vets with the extra SP to put into high level AV

Im DONE!!." What did I do? stopped playing for a few days, maybe even a week to cool my head. Come back and just try, try, try again. But yeah a month is nothing compared to the crap all we Closed Beta testers have had to put up with to this very day. I feel for ya man, I really do :)

There is someone in your parent corp named The Attorney General. Talk to him about building a decent tank. But even he has trouble keeping a tank without backup. AV does need some work (I have an alt that's skilled into vehicles), but tanks are not (and should not) be one man killing machines. I've seen tankers who have figures this out and are successful.

While it seems as though the swarms are overpowered against your tank, if they were to be nerfed to give the entry level tank a boost the proto tanks and skilled tankers would be unstoppable. That would be an even bigger mess than what we ended up with in the LLAV. Your pain is the same that plagues all of Dust. There is a huge penalty for being a new player or not having a group of buddies to run with. Trying to face off against organized squads all decked out in top of the line proto swag gets old quick. Duvolles, Freedom, Boundless...whatever - they are all overused and make the game less enjoyable for everyone. Unfortunately there are many players that only know how to play that way. I understand your frustration and many of my friends no longer play for the very same reasons. The few of us that have stuck around still have a lot of fun playing and keep finding new ways to cost all the proto bears lots of ISK.

Same.. nahh I think you got the point. There is nothing worthy about aiming at a tank and waiting 2 seconds for a lock on and releasing and exploding that tank with 1 swarm. Nothing worthy about it sir. ;)
