So can we all agree that pubstomping is an issue?
I have been in numerous games, where one side dominates another entirely, and usually it boils down to one thing.
Squads.
In almost every game when one team has dominated another, I see the dominating team have a group of 6 people from the same corp on top of the leader board. When in game another problem that I have with is when the dominating team is using just proto equipment, and wiping the floor with the standard suits the other team is using, and the time someone is cocky enough to use a proto suit in a public match, is when they are in a squad.
All I'm proposing, is putting in equipment tiered modes that block users from using equipment outside of that tier. As in a standard domination, standard skirmish and standard ambush that requires players to use only standard equipment, and then an Advanced, and prototype version of all those.
But a better way to fix it is to add a non squad mode. |

The tier idea sounds good, but how would it work? if just having a single proto suit means you're the best there is, then count me out. The only reason I go to pub matches is to use my starter suits to get extra money or play domination since FW matches are all skirmishes. If I know I'm going to lose money by proto suits, I just switch to advanced sniper with the Charge, or use my Starter Medic.
The Tiering system would be simple. You can choose your fitting normally, but if you try to deploy a fitting that uses peice of equipment outside of what the match tier is, a response along the lines of 'deployment failed; illegal fitting chosen' would be shown.
And with the whole 'this game is about teamwork', yes its true, but you have got to admit that if you have an organized proto squad going against a team of casual gamers, or people who are playing for *****'n'giggles, or people who are generally not taking the game not all that seriously... the proto squad is going to win. Now tell me, when you get to the point when you can conclusively tell which team is going to win, do you not think it becomes unfair?
When you can tell the inevitable in a match, doesn't it take away from its fun? In a game like this as well when its about your strategy and teamwork as well, and you have an aim (lets take getting lots of ISK), and you can tell in a match, you will not get to that aim no matter what strategy you use, it takes away all its fun to the point its just a joyless grinfest.
I'm not saying make it easier or harder for either side, I'm just saying put the fun back in for both sides, "Fun" being a keyword. |

Thats questionable. None of them are willing to lose them, and usually those who do use protos, I hear do well or get by nicely in planetary conquest as (supposedly) you make 1 mill or so a day if are an active player and control a district or two.
Now tell me, how many casual gamers, or at least players that regularly use standards are in a corp that owns even one district? |

Its because of this, that I adore pubstomping you asswipes.
I'm sorry bout that. I can personally say I know alot of our corp are just babby 12 year cod kiddies, and we are looking into doing cuts. |
